Lamb

Frause promoted Susan Lamb as creative director. Lamb has 15 years of design experience and has developed print and online creative for design departments such as Macy's Northwest and Pacific Coast Feather Company. Frause is an independent integrated communications firm.

Virginia Mason Medical Center

Virginia Mason Medical Center named Shelly Fagerlund as vice president of Clinic Operations, effective Sept. 2, 2012. Fagerlund joined Virginia Mason in 1997 and has held leadership positions in human resources and is currently the administrative director of the Clinic Kaizen Promotion Office. Virginia Mason Medical Center, founded in 1920, is a nonprofit regional health care system in Seattle that serves the Pacific Northwest.

DreamBox Learning

Bellevue-based DreamBox Learning hired Jason Bedford as vice president of sales and client success. Bedford was vice president of global sales for Blackboard Connect and has more than ten years of experience in sales, strategy and operations at leading education technology solution providers. DreamBox Learning provides intelligent adaptive learning technology coupled with a rigorous math curriculum that builds conceptual understanding and fluency.

Walsh Construction Co. hired Eric Cronin as superintendent, John Lennox as assistant superintendent, and Jeremy Winter and Whitney Gilson as project engineers. All are working out of the company's Seattle office. Cronin has 10 years of construction experience. Lennox has been working in the industry for more than 12 years. Winter previously was an intern on Walsh's Salishan project in Tacoma. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Central Washington University. Gilson also served as a Walsh intern. She holds a certificate in construction management from the University of Washington.

Skanska USA

Skanska USA's Seattle office hired Emmett Hart as superintendent, and Levi Nelson, Jonathan Setzer, Andrew Salmeri and Stewart Germaine as project engineers. The company also promoted 12 project engineers, managers and executives in the Seattle office. Mark Engelking and Ken Howard were promoted from senior project managers to project executives. Sam Holden, Carmen Jordan, Albert Martin, Cohen Morris and Sam Sherwood all jumped from senior project engineers to project managers. Also, project engineers Ike Burkett, Michael Cox, Derek Feldsted, Steele Johnson and Jed Tsai were promoted to senior project engineers.

Mayes Testing Engineers

Gross

Mayes Testing Engineers hired Brad Gross as senior project manager for its Lynnwood office. Gross has nearly 10 years of management experience in the construction industry and previously was the nondestructive testing manager at Kaw Valley Engineering in Kansas. He is a certified welding inspector and holds several certifications in nondestructive testing.

Sound Transit

Sound Transit selected Ted Lucas as its procurement and contracts director. Lucas is currently Snohomish County's purchasing manager and will start his new job in late August. He replaces Kunjan Dayal, who left the agency in March to become director of procurement and contracts at TriMet in Portland.

CITC

The Construction Industry Training Council recently held graduation ceremonies for 107 students. Of the total, 82 percent were in registered apprenticeship programs. Graduates by trade were: 43 in electrical, 26 in carpentry, 19 in plumbing, seven in HVAC, seven in sheet metal, four heavy equipment operators, and one in painting.
