Fisco

Fardella

Seattle Times publisher Frank Blethen named Alayne Fardella as chief operating officer and Alan Fisco as executive vice president for revenue and new products. Fardella served in various leadership roles at The Seattle Times for more than 15 years, most recently as senior vice president of business operations. Fisco joined The Times in 1992 and is senior vice president of sales and marketing. He will continue this position in addition to his new appointment.

Waypoint Ventures

Seattle-based Waypoint Ventures named Danica Richard as new partner. Richard joined Waypoint Ventures in 2009 as a certified project management professional. Waypoint Ventures provides project management, operational oversight and international services to corporations as well as start-ups and charitable organizations.

Bluetooth Special Interest Group

Kirkland-based Bluetooth Special Interest Group hired Mark Powell as executive director. Powell worked as vice president of Keneto Wireless, a company he co-founded in 2001. The Bluetooth Special Interest Group oversees development of Bluetooth standards, and licensing of technologies and trademarks to manufacturers.

Griffin

Seattle-based Griffin, Hill & Associates moved to 821 Hiawatha Place S. The company also hired Arianna Griffin as project coordinator and promoted Kiyana Daba to project coordinator and Cherrise Gratton to office engineer. Griffin recently received a bachelor's degree in political science from Hampton University. GHA specializes in program, project and construction management for major public projects in the Puget Sound region.

Walsh Construction Co.

Tovias

Walsh Construction Co. hired Sandi Tovias as project manager for the company's Washington region, based in Seattle. Tovias has 13 years of construction experience and is a LEED AP. Walsh specializes in affordable mixed-use, multi-unit, special needs and student housing, as well as renovations and historic preservation.

ABC of Western Washington

The Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington appointed Mike Schultis of Schultis Sundberg to its board of directors. Schultis is filling a vacancy left by Brian Pahlow of NCM Contracting Group, who reportedly left the industry. Schultis will also sit on the external relations council. Schultis Sundberg is a general contractor.

Columbia Bank

Tacoma-based Columbia Bank promoted Cameron Moorehead to vice president, private banking officer. Moorehead worked as private banker and credit analyst for Wells Fargo. Columbia Bank is a state-chartered full-service commercial bank.

Artist Trust

Seattle-based Artist Trust promoted Lila Hurwitz to associate director. Hurwitz joined Artist Trust in 2003 as part-time development associate and became Artist Trust's first communications manager in 2006. She was promoted to communications director in 2011. Artist Trust is a nonprofit that supports individual artists in all disciplines.

NanoString Technologies

Seattle-based NanoString Technologies hired Dale Levitzke as vice president of global sales for life sciences. Levitzke joins NanoString from Illumina, where he was senior director and global sales manager for the PCR division. NanoString is a privately held provider of life science tools for molecular diagnostics.
