John K. Borland has been named vice president and relationship manager for Wells Fargo's Seattle Regional Commercial Banking offices. Borland was vice president and relationship manager for U.S. Bank.
The consulting firm Weezer Group has been launched to help organizations harness the power of visual media technology. Richard McLeland Wieser, chief consultant, has experience in broadcast TV, audiovisual integration, corporate communications and events.
Seattle-based Context Relevant, a developer of predictive analytics applications, hired Christopher Re as senior scientist, Art Munson as data scientist, Craig Fiebig as vice president of marketing and Tom Murphy as vice president of customer success.

Regional law firm Lane Powell hired Barry A. Abbot as counsel to the Business Practice Group. Abbott has represented international and domestic institutions, and worked in corporate law, financial services and e-commerce, representing large companies and start-ups.



Business law firm Stoel Rives expanded its health care practice group with the addition of three attorneys: Stephanie A. Cason and Sarah L. Bimber in the Portland office, and Kara F. Morse joins the Seattle office.
Portland-based North Pacific Management renamed its hospitality management division CoHo.Services: Connect Hospitality Services. The company will continue to operate office buildings and real estate holdings under its real estate division as North Pacific Management. CoHo.Services has more than 20 years in the hospitality industry as owners, operators and consultants.

Two employees in NBS Financial Services' Seattle office have been promoted. Jeff Henderson is now senior finance officer. He joined NBS Financial in 2009 with a background in commercial real estate. Andrew Patterson was promoted to senior associate finance officer. Patterson has been with NBS since 2007.
Seattle-based GardnerGlobal Inc. has moved its headquarters to Pioneer Square at 114 Alaskan Way S., Suite 104. The company was founded in 2009 and is headed by CEO Jaebadiah S. Gardner. GardnerGlobal services include real estate development and consulting, brokerage and property management, business development and social media consulting.
The Kirkland branch of Cobalt Mortgage said it raised $36,800 for college scholarships for local students. The funds came from a competition between University of Washington alumnae at the Kirkland branch and Washington State University alumnae at the Southcenter branch. Overall, the company raised more than $100,000 that will be given to 73 students in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, Texas, Utah and Oklahoma. Cobalt Mortgage Dollars for Scholars is a nonprofit founded in 2010.

Seattle-based HomeStreet Bank opened a branch in Fremont at 3417 Evanston Ave N. The grand opening is scheduled for Feb. 27 from 4-6 p.m.
Attorney General Bob Ferguson named Kendee Yamaguchi director of Policy, Legislative Affairs and External Relations. Yamaguchi was executive director of the Washington State Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs, and previously worked in the Clinton White House as a director in the Office of Management and Administration, and in the Office of Public Liaison.
