Foley & Mansfield

The national law firm of Foley & Mansfield has added attorney J. Scott Wood to its equity partnership. He joined the Oakland office in 2007, and founded the Seattle office in 2010. Wood is managing partner in Seattle and has a practice in California. He focuses on commercial litigation, real estate, construction, liability and toxic torts.

Riddell Williams

Riddell Williams added a new attorney, Alessandra Allen, as an associate in the Real Estate and Environmental practice groups. She was a legal intern at the Northwest Defenders Association and a summer associate at Riddell Williams in 2012.

Columbia Basin Development League

Milton Johnston of Ellensburg was re-elected chair of the Columbia Basin Development League, with Orman Johnson of Othello re-elected vice chair, Jake Wollman, Jr. of Warden as treasurer and Jeff Schibel of Odessa as secretary. Ron Fode of Moses Lake continues on the board as past chair. The league promotes the extension of irrigation infrastructure in the Columbia Basin Project.

Cairncross & Hempelmann has expanded the family law practice with of counsel attorney Ed Skone. He specializes in complex marital estates.

REI

REI has promoted two vice presidents: Annie Zipfel is vice president of marketing and Susan Viscon is vice president of merchandising. The company is starting a national search for a chief marketing officer to replace Angela Owen, who is leaving the company. Zipfel will lead marketing during the search. Zipfel joined REI in 2012 from Target. Viscon takes over merchandising from Senior Vice President Lee Fromson, who is also leaving the company.

FareStart

FareStart, a local nonprofit that provides culinary job training to homeless and disadvantaged people, said its national effort, Catalyst Kitchens, now has 50 members in its network including organizations in Canada and United Kingdom. Catalyst Kitchens' network provides job training and support services to people in 18 states. It recently added members in Missouri, Maryland, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, California and Everett Gospel Mission in Everett. David Carleton is national director for FareStart and Catalyst Kitchens.

Christophilis moves to CBRE

Christophilis

CBRE hired Dino Christophilis as senior vice president in the Seattle office. He will be a part of the national Private Capital Group and focus on retail investment sales. Christophilis worked at Marcus and Millichap where he helped complete 105 sales worth more than $220 million. CBRE has more than 300 offices around the world.

Kilroy hires Paratte

Kilroy Realty Corp. hired A. Robert Paratte to oversee leasing and business development from Seattle to San Diego. Paratte will handle relationships with tenants and build-to-suit projects. He has spent seven years at Tishman Speyer where he was managing director for global leasing and business development. Kilroy has more than 12.5 million square feet of office space on the West Coast, including buildings in Bellevue as well as Fremont and South Lake Union.

JLL brokers Third Avenue site sale

David Young, Corey Marx and Seth Heikkila of Jones Lang LaSalle brokered the sale of a 19,440-square-foot site at 2000 Third Ave. in Seattle where British Columbia Investment Management Corp. is expected to build a 400-foot apartment tower with ground floor retail. Investco Financial Corp. sold the site to bcIMC for $17.75 million. JLL has more than 1,300 people in its Capital Markets Group.

Noble adds California hotel

Seattle-based Noble House Hotels and Resorts has taken over management of Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley, Calif. The 57-room hotel is on 26 acres and is the 19th hotel in Noble House's portfolio. Bernardus Pon opened the hotel in 1999 as a Euro-style retreat. An adjacent winery and tasting room are not part of the sale. Noble owns and manages boutique hotels and resorts in Washington, California, Colorado, Florida, Minnesota and Rhode Island. Noble owns Hotel Deca and the Edgewater Hotel in Seattle. It was founded by Patrick Colee.
