Gesinger

In Seattle, ZGF Architects promoted to principal Mark Gesinger, Anita Rossen, Taka Soga, Tobin Thompson and Tim Williams. Gesinger is a senior health care designer with 21 years of experience and clients that include Seattle Children's and The Everett Clinic. Rossen is a senior interior designer with 15 years of experience on projects ranging from workplaces to health care and clients that have included Providence Health & Services and Seattle Children's. Soga has 22 years of experience including master plans for Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and design of a life sciences building for BioMed Realty Trust in Seattle.

Williams

Thompson

Thompson has 18 years of experience on large-scale projects such as Stadium Place and Providence Alaska Medical Center. Williams has more than 20 years of experience leading design and construction. His projects include the King Street Station renovation and the UW's Molecular Engineering & Sciences Building.

Studio Meng Strazzara

Eng

Studio Meng Strazzara hired Tom Eng and Lukas Shu as project architects and Kris Feliciano, John Cuhel, Rachel Schad and Nick Stuckey as architectural interns. Eng has more than 20 years of architectural experience, including managing health care, civic, performing arts, residential, corporate, retail and educational projects. He previously was with Callison where he worked on Westlake Center and Biometropolis in Mexico City. Now he is working on Cedar Park Elementary School. Shu has nearly 20 years of experience, specializing in schools, universities and colleges. He previously was with NAC|Architecture where he worked on Carl Sandburg Elementary School in Kirkland and Snohomish High School. He is developing procurement documents for Sound Transit. Feliciano has been an assistant designer on housing projects at Vonsaal Design/Build in Napa, Calif. She is working on Trek Apartments in Auburn. Cuhel previously worked at Main Vue Homes in Seattle on housing and was an architectural planner and surveyor at COR Space Planning in Bend, Ore. He is working on a new lunch room for Green Lake Elementary School. Schad was a project coordinator with Sound Transit supporting the architecture and public art division in development of the North Link light rail station. She is working on a mixed-use project on Ballinger Way in Shoreline. Stuckey was on the commissioning services team of Meng Analysis (a sister firm to Studio Meng Strazzara) producing reports for K-12 and government facilities. He working on a new kindergarten at the Woodinville High School site.

The Glosten Associates

Soles

Peter Soles joined The Glosten Associates as a marine consultant supporting ocean engineering and marine logistics projects. Soles has worked on marine projects in the Northwest and Alaska for 13 years as a tug operator and marine operations manager for local companies. Seattle-based Glosten provides naval architecture, ocean engineering, marine engineering and program management.

Transportation Solutions

Salemann

Victor L. Salemann joined Transportation Solutions as a principal. Salemann is an engineer with 30 years of experience in consulting, from comprehensive planning to construction management. He has a background in growth management planning, transportation impact fees, complete streets, and roundabouts, including Five Corners Roundabout in Edmonds. The Redmond-based firm provides transportation engineering and planning.

WHPacific

Nickel

WHPacific hired Spencer “Spence” Nickel in Denver to lead expansion of landscape architecture services in Colorado, with a focus on campus master plans and outdoor environments. Nickel is a landscape architect with 27 years of experience, focusing on higher education. WHPacific provides transportation, water/environment, development/facilities, energy, construction/project management, and surveying and scanning services.

Cary Kopczynski & Co.

Cary Kopczynski & Co. hired Dan Yeager as a project manager, Lindsey Jones as a junior engineer, Vlada Bordewick as an administrative assistant and Mari Wada as marketing coordinator. Yeager has eight years of engineering experience, including four as a project manager. He is working on the Lincoln Square expansion in Bellevue with an office tower, luxury hotel/condo tower, 127,000 square feet of retail and underground parking. Jones is a recent University of Washington graduate who is working on The Steele Creek Apartments in Denver. Bordewick has seven years of communications experience, and assists in office administration, project support and documents. Wada has five years of marketing and graphic design experience, and will help manage marketing. CKC is a Bellevue-based structural engineering firm.

Hart Crowser

Hart Crowser hired Chris de la Torre as a geotechnical engineer and Dan Knapp as a geologist in Seattle. It also hired Anthony Chavez as a geologist in Portland and Maria Sandercock as a biologist in Edmonds. De la Torre holds a master's in civil/geotechnical engineering from the University of Washington and was a geotechnical intern at Hart Crowser. He worked on King Street Station. Knapp holds a master's in geophysics from Utah State University, and will support the Spring District project. Chavez is a geologist with 12 years of experience. He recently did several environmental site assessments. Sandercock holds a dual master's in environmental and forest services, and urban planning from the UW. She is working on mining and waterfront projects. Hart Crowser is an environmental and engineering consulting firm headquartered in Seattle, with offices also in Vancouver and Anchorage.

John R. McDowall has been elected director of the business department at Carney Badley Spellman.

Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker

Thomas R. Krider has been named a managing partner at Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker and Craig Rusk, who has served as a managing partner for nearly 15 years, will continue as managing partner. The two will be in charge of daily operations. Krider's practice focuses on commercial litigation and contract negotiation.

Port of Everett

Troy McClelland, Port of Everett Commissioner, has been selected secretary of Washington Public Ports Association. He also is president and CEO of Economic Alliance Snohomish County.
