Mithun promoted Heidi Oien, Dan Swaab, Susan Olmsted, Chris Butler and Malcolm Harris to associate principal. Oien is project manager for market-rate, affordable and student housing projects — including the University of Washington's Lander, Terry and Maple residence halls. Swaab is a senior project architect and technical design leader for mixed-use, corporate facilities and urban housing projects, with work that includes Mosler Lofts in Seattle. Olmsted is an architect and landscape architect who is project manager on projects with an educational and ecological focus, including the Sustainability Treehouse in West Virginia. Butler is a project architect, designer and manager with experience on corporate, educational and cultural projects, including the Wanapum Heritage Center in Priest Rapids. Harris has over 20 years of experience and is project manager for multifamily housing and urban mixed-use design, including 1180 Fourth Street Family Housing in San Francisco.

Cowan

In the Portland office, SRG Partnership hired Harley Cowan, Matt Ottinger, Susan Gust as associates, and Tyler Wilcox as a designer. In the past 18 years, Cowan has worked on projects around the world, with a focus on health care labs. He is a member of the Professional Advisory Board for WSU's School of Design + Construction. Ottinger has nearly 20 years of experience and a background in health care design. He has trained architects to use Revit with The PPI Group. Gust has experience in corporate interiors and has been practicing for more than 10 years, including workspace design for LEED platinum CI projects in the United States. Wilcox graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2012 with a masters of architecture. He recently worked in Behnisch Architekten's Boston office and with Paolo Soleri at Arcosanti.

Legacy Group

Pletschett

Legacy Group hired Heather Pletschett as vice president of sales for the commercial furniture division, which provides office furniture for corporate, legal, educational, financial, health care, technology and creative markets. She has 16 years of experience in the contract furniture industry and most recently was at Knoll as business development manager focusing on the architectural and design community.

Seattle Center Armory

Seattle Center said Blue Water Taco Grill has opened in Seattle Center Armory. It was founded by Dave de Varona. Center officials said this completes retooling of the Armory's Food Atrium. The other eateries are Bean Sprouts Cafe & Cooking School, Bigfood BBQ, Ceres Roasting Co., The Confectional, Eltana Wood-Fired Bagel Café, Kabab, MOD Pizza, Pie, Plum Pantry, Quincy's, Seattle Fudge, Skillet: Counter, Starbucks and Subway.

The Emily Program

The Emily Program, an eating disorder treatment center, is opening an office in Olympia that will be its third location in the Seattle area and fourth in the Pacific Northwest. The clinic will offer assessments, programs, therapy, nutritional counseling, and psychiatric and medical services for people struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and compulsive overeating. The clinic is at 673 Woodland Square Loop S.E. in Lacey. Other locations are on Westlake Avenue North and in Spokane.

Clark Nuber

Clark Nuber, a CPA and consulting firm in Bellevue, promoted the following people: to manager Mike Nurse, Accounting and Consulting Services; and to seniors Meredith Matches, Zachary Pauw, Jennelle Riffe and Brett Withers, all in Audit and Assurance Services. The firm also recently added Kenzie Fleischman and Mariya Sichkar as audit interns, and Valerie Sias as marketing coordinator.

Western Washington University

Alper

Don Alper, director of Western Washington University's Center for Canadian-American Studies and the Border Policy Research Institute and a professor of political science, will resign from those positions this fall and retire from WWU. A search for his successor will begin soon. Alper started the Border Policy Research Institute to focus on Canada-U.S. policy issues.

Creature

Keblas

Creature, a Seattle-based advertising and design firm, hired James Keblas as its new president. He was director of the city of Seattle's Office of Film + Music, an economic development agency focused on arts and entertainment, for nine years. Creature has offices on Capitol Hill and in the Shoreditch district of London.

Senior Services

Senior Services CEO Paula Houston gave the 2014 Inspire Positive Aging Award to McCoy Khammany Sengsi of West Seattle and Regence BlueShield gave the group $100,000 for the Senior Services Navigator Program, which is designed to help isolated older adults. Sengsi, 64, was a former police officer who escaped from Laos to the U.S. in 1980. He is a leader in the local Laotian community and helped establish Lao Veterans Association of Washington State.

Whitehead

The Seattle office of BNBuilders hired Don Whitehead and John Dentel as superintendents. Whitehead has more than 30 years of experience building condos, hotels, medical offices, business parks and sports stadiums. He is working on the Valor Apartments. Dentel has more than 38 years of experience building multifamily, hospitality and retail projects. He is working on the Stone Way Apartments.

Sequoyah Electric

Santos

Sequoyah Electric hired Ed Santos as a CAD drafter on the preconstruction team and Stephanie Mehr as receptionist in the Redmond office. In addition to CAD, Santos is experienced in project management and construction administration. He studied Autodesk MEP 2013 and Revit at Seattle Central College. Mehr holds an associate's degree from Pierce Community College and has taken classes in computer science and engineering from UW Tacoma.

Washington Patriot Construction

Von Keitz

Gig Harbor's Washington Patriot Construction hired Sarah von Keitz as project engineer. Von Keitz is graduating this month from the University of Washington with bachelor's degrees in architectural studies and construction management. She will be assigned to the Boeing 2-25 density improvements project in Seattle.

DBM Contractors

Bickford

John Bickford returned to DBM Contractors in Federal Way as project/product development manager. Bickford comes from Magnus Pacific, but previously worked at DBM for 11 years as design manager, project manager and estimating manager. He has more than 20 years of experience in design, engineering and construction. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Seattle University, and is a licensed engineer in Washington, Oregon and Arizona.

Global Diving & Salvage

Jensen

Global Diving & Salvage hired Jennifer Jensen as vice president of the newly formed Quality Assurance Group. Based in Global's Seattle headquarters, Jensen is directing human resources, claims and compliance, professional development groups, and health, safety and environment. She has held management positions in the airline, higher education and retail industries.

AGC of Washington

The Associated General Contractors of Washington moved its offices to the west side of the third floor of the AGC Building. The address, floor and suite number remain the same. The AGC Education Foundation moved two floors down, just off the first-floor lobby. Its address also remains the same.
