Rainier Group Investment Advisory

Rainier Group Investment Advisory added three staff members. Rebecca (Becky) Wilcox is director of portfolio management, including asset allocation and macro-strategy analysis. Brander Richmond is senior analyst and Roxie Drofiak is client services specialist. The company is a national firm that helps business owners and individuals with business transition and wealth management.

King County

Executive Dow Constantine has appointed Rachel Smith director of government relations to work on state and federal legislative issues. Smith begins Nov. 17. She was Sound Transit's government and community relations officer working on issues in King and Pierce counties.

Fife Police Department

Fife Police Department Commander David Woods has been appointed assistant police chief. Woods has been with the city for 26 years and has been commander since 2013.

Motif Seattle

Motif Seattle, which is part of Destination Hotel & Resorts, hired Max Roth as director of sales and marketing. He has over two decades of experience with Marriott, Hilton, Starwood and Destination Hotels & Resorts, most recently at Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland.

Lane Powell

Adriane M. Scola joined Lane Powell as an attorney in the Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group. Scola was a clerk and a legal extern for Ricardo S. Martinez of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.

Stokes Lawrence

Stokes Lawrence added Krista Nelson to the employment group. She comes from Sebris Busto James, where she represented employers in matters such as harassment, discrimination, retaliation and disability claims.

Yakima brokerage joins Berkshire

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices added Prudential Almon Realty of Yakima to its brokerage network. The name will change Nov. 20 to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Central Washington Real Estate. The office will also add a commercial division, which clients have requested for several years, according to broker Chris Pauling. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices is a subsidiary of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway. Since it was founded in September 2013, the network has added 34,000 agents and 1,035 offices in 47 states.

NorthMarq gets refinancing for apartments

Bob Spiro and Chris Pohlad of NorthMarq Capital's Seattle office arranged $52.71 million in refinancing for two apartment complexes in Seattle and Puyallup. NorthMarq got $20.65 million for Boxcar apartments, a 145-unit property in South Lake Union, and $32.06 million for Riverside Park in Puyallup. AmeriSphere Multifamily Finance provided the loans.
