Seattle Bank

Josh Williams was recently hired as executive vice president and chief banking officer for Seattle Bank. He began his career with Norwest Bank in Minneapolis. He most recently worked as vice president and senior global banking consultant for Wells Fargo Bank advising corporate clients on international solutions.

Seattle College District

The Association of Community College Trustees gave Seattle College District its 2014 Charles Kennedy Equity Award. The award recognizes efforts to expand opportunities for women and underrepresented communities.

InvestNextDoor

Outerwall and Points of Light gave the first Outerwall Civic Venture Award to Seattle-based startup InvestNextDoor. The award recognizes entrepreneurs making positive change in local communities. Tabitha Creighton is CEO and co-founder of InvestNextDoor, a crowdlending system that lets individual investors lend money to small businesses in their community.

Brandon Gribben joined Helsell Fetterman as a senior litigation associate. He does real estate litigation, commercial litigation, commercial and residential landlord/tenant law, and general real estate law. Gribben spent six years working as a litigation associate at Kucker & Bruh, LLP in New York City.

Western Washington University

Karen Stout has been named to the Bowman Distinguished Professorship in Leadership and will be director of the Karen W. Morse Institute for Leadership at Western Washington University. She is a professor of communication studies.

Benjamin to manage GSA portfolio

The U.S. General Services Administration named Chaun Benjamin regional commissioner of the Public Buildings Service for the Northwest/Arctic Region. The service provides workspace for federal agencies. Benjamin will manage a portfolio of more than 16 million square feet in 577 owned and leased buildings in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. He has been acting regional commissioner since May 2013 and has been with GSA since 2003. Before that he served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force handling acquisitions.

Realtors seek First Citizen nominations

Seattle King County Realtors is seeking nominations for the 77th annual First Citizen award, which celebrates leadership, volunteerism and public service. Send nominations by Nov. 12 to Seattle King County Realtors' First Citizen Select Committee, 12410 S.E. 32nd St. Suite 100, Bellevue. The 2014 winner was former Seattle Mayor Norman Rice.

NAIOP-AGC forecast Nov. 19
