Seattle Office of Arts & Culture

Johnson

The Seattle Office of Arts & Culture said Elisheba Johnson was elected to the Emerging Leaders Network, an advisory council of Americans for the Arts, which advances arts and arts education. Ruri Yampolsky, Seattle's public art director, is a member of the Public Art Network Council for Americans for the Arts. Johnson supports the office of Arts & Culture and Seattle Arts Commission, and is a visual artist.

Seattle Theatre Group

McLarnan

Seattle Theatre Group named Jack McLarnan as season programming manager. He was performing arts coordinator for Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, and joined STG in November. In Chicago, he curated and produced more than 125 events a year, including for Millennium Park. STG presents events at The Paramount, Moore and Neptune, and at other venues in this region and Portland.

Esterline

Esterline, a Bellevue manufacturer of products for aerospace and defense markets, named Paul Benson vice president of human resources. He succeeds Tom Heine, who is retiring after 15 years with Esterline. Benson spent seven years as senior HR director at Hewlett-Packard and also worked at Intel and Nalley Foods.

Whitman supports projects in the geotechnical engineering group. McCaughan leads the geotechnical engineering practice and manages the Olympia office. Jordan supports geotechnical projects. Roberts reviews client deliverables and acts as office administrator. Briggs does environmental and hydrogeologic assessment, permitting and water resources consulting in eastern Washington and manages the Spokane office. Borgeson does site investigations and groundwater remediation. Edmonds-based Landau Associates provides geotechnical and environmental engineering, remediation, permitting, and compliance services.

In Seattle, DLR Group hired Carla Weinheimer as a senior architect, Debbie Jung as a senior structural engineer, Hyunjin Im as a senior designer, Sabrina Ames as a project administrator and Kelly Mabry, Lauren Butts and Anthony Wocken as intern architects. Weinheimer has over 25 years of experience with courts, detention, police and city hall projects. At DLR, she leads teams designing justice projects in the Northwest. Jung has 12 years of experience with public school, water treatment and health care projects, and she worked on the New York Aquarium. Im works on projects in Asia. He has 18 years of architecture experience doing projects for brands such as Samsung and Four Seasons in the U.S. and in Asia. Ames is project administrator for DLR's justice and civic studio. Mabry has a bachelor of architecture degree from the University of Oregon. Butts holds a bachelor's in design - architecture from the University of Nebraska. Wocken has a master of architecture degree from North Dakota State University. DLR provides architecture, engineering, planning, interior design, and building optimization from offices in the U.S. and China.

Trindera Engineering hired Brian Miner as a project engineer in the automation department at its Spokane office. Miner is a computer electronics engineering and technology adjunct instructor at ITT Technical Institute and was a project engineer at Engineered Control Systems in Spokane. Trindera is an electrical and control systems engineering and consulting firm. It also has an office in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

The Blueline Group hired Mary Moore as a CAD drafter. Moore has over 10 years of experience with civil drafting. Blueline provides civil engineering consulting services.

The Sound City Association Board elected Snoqualmie Mayor Matt Larson president for 2015. SCA represents 36 cities in King County with a total population of nearly one million people. It focuses on issues such as economic development, transportation, health, education and public safety.

Puget Sound Energy named Melanie J. Dressel chair of its board of directors. She is is president and CEO of Tacoma-based Columbia Bank and succeeds William S. Ayer of Alaska Air Group, who is retiring.

Complete Financial Solutions Inc. of Spokane has acquired the assets of Emery Accounting in Priest River, Idaho. Founded in 2005, Emery Accounting offers accounting, tax and bookkeeping services to individuals and small businesses.

The Seattle office of Mortenson Construction hired Clay Packard as assistant equipment facility manager, Aaron Storey and Ashneel Prasad as members of the estimating team, and Steve Larson as senior MEP design phase manager. Also, Nick Bare transferred to Seattle as a project engineer. Bare worked in Mortenson's Renewable Energy Group for three years erecting wind turbines in Kansas, Texas, Alberta and Iowa. Packard is working in the Woodinville equipment yard. Storey is a graduate of Florida Tech University and was a project engineer in commercial and mixed-use construction. Prasad previously worked at Alaska Airlines as a load planner. Larson worked for McKinstry as business unit leader for the Industrial Group, and has been in the plumbing/mechanical contracting industry since 1982.

Curnew is working towards a technical management degree with a focus in accounting at DeVry University. She has more than 10 years of experience in accounting. Biber has six years of experience in administrative departments and previously worked at Pacific Tank Lines. Malik holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and management from Oklahoma State University, and has more than 15 years of professional experience. Emde is a recent mechanical engineering graduate of Gonzaga University. Lo holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Iowa. Stiehl holds a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science from the University of Utah and has 10 years of administrative experience. Plummer, a first-year apprentice, holds an HVAC/refrigeration degree from Clover Park Technical College and has three years of industry experience. Pope has four years of experience in the U.S. Air Force and completed the 18-week United Association's Veterans in Piping program. Barmore has 21 years of experience and trained with the Local 32 refrigeration apprenticeship program.
