Kidder Mathews hires 4 in San Diego

Kidder Mathews had added four more brokers in San Diego. Mickey Morera, James Duncan and Jeff Brown all specialize in sales and leasing for industrial and research and development properties. Jim Benson focuses on industrial properties. Morera, Duncan and Brown all come from Cushman & Wakefield, and Benson was last with Cassidy Turley/DTZ. Kidder Mathews' San Diego office now has eight brokers, and also manages 800,000 square feet of biotech space in La Jolla. Kidder Mathews has 450 employees in 10 offices in Washington, Oregon and California.

This year's challenge: Rainier Malt House

Students from the University of Washington and University of British Columbia will tackle redeveloping the original Rainier brewery's Malt House in Georgetown for NAIOP's 2015 Real Estate Challenge.

They will present their proposals at a breakfast event at 7:30 a.m. March 11 at Sheraton Seattle Hotel.

Finsphere Corp., a mobile identity-authentication service, named Deanna Oppenheimer of Seattle-based CameoWorks as a strategic adviser because of her experience in financial services. She was president of consumer banking at Washington Mutual and CEO of U.K. retail banking at Barclays PLC. Oppenheimer started CameoWorks to advise companies on decisions, opportunities, relationships and strategies.

Whitepages

Whitepages of Seattle hired Geoffrey Arone as executive vice president of products. The website provides access to more than 200 million personal identities. Arone was chief scientist at Experian, where he tested and designed products and technologies. He founded three startups, and worked at Oracle and Real Networks.

Frazier Healthcare

Frazier Healthcare, a Seattle-based provider of growth capital to health care companies, added Brett Moraski to its Growth Buyout team as an operating partner. He will focus on payor services and IT-enabled ancillary services to the payor industry. He worked at LLR Partners, WellPoint and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.

He has led teams on learning environments, adaptive re-use, office, civic and cultural projects. He was interim executive director of the American Institute of Architects Seattle and helped establish a center for design in the city. He is a transportation planner and engineer who has been with the firm for over 20 years and is on its operations leadership team. Waterfront Seattle is among the projects he has worked on. Parametrix provides engineering, planning and environmental sciences, with offices in the western U.S.

Ryan Olson joined PCL Civil Constructors as construction manager for the Transportation Infrastructure Group in Seattle. Olson has 21 years of civil construction experience, holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Santa Clara University, and is a licensed engineer in Washington, California and Alaska. He previously was area manager for a local contractor.

Sidoine has eight years of experience in residential, multifamily and commercial construction. He also started and operated two businesses: one focused on paints and finishes; and the other on multifamily energy efficiency. Chase has more than five years of marketing experience, and previously was marketing manager for the Smith Tower. Berg has two years of financial industry experience, and recently earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Pacific Lutheran University. Sadovska holds a bachelor's degree from Odessa National Polytechnic University.
