The WFC Group, a workforce management consulting company, hired Yang Kim as a solutions architect. He was with Workforce Insight where he worked with Toyota, Aramark, Southwest Airlines and health care institutions.
The Seattle school board has been asked to approve Jacque Coe as the district's chief communications officer. She is senior director of strategic communications for Washington Dairy Products Commission and was director of communications for Bellevue School District.
Monroe-based Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. appointed Rick Lovorn as vice president of operations for manufacturing. Lovorn has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing and operations in both the cabinet and furniture industries. He was general manager and president for several cabinet manufacturers, and ran four furniture manufacturing plants.
South Seattle College developed a bachelor's degree program in sustainable building management in partnership with Washington State University and Edmonds Community College. The program is a hybrid model — with 80 percent of coursework online and once-a-month Saturday meetings — that can be finished in six quarters. It focuses on building science, energy and building codes, and facility management. Training is lead by Victoria Hardy, who has 30 years of industry/education experience.
Hanley Wood's 2015 Builder brand study listed Tacoma-based Milgard Windows & Doors as the leading window and door brand for several major project categories in the western U.S. The study surveyed 1,128 builders, builder/developers and general contractors on brand use, familiarity and factors influencing brand selection.
A seminar held earlier this month by the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America raised nearly $10,000 in scholarship funding. The association's annual seminar focused on alternative project delivery.

Lighthouse eDiscovery said Regina Chepalis has joined as director of project management. Chepalis has over 30 years of experience in a variety of legal service companies and was national director at Ricoh USA. Jaydeep Singh is the new director of engineering. Singh was director of engineering at Microsoft and led teams in India, China and Redmond. The Seattle company works with corporations and law firms on handling information in electronic formats.
The Partners Group hired Scott Hagan as consultant for its employee benefits team in Bellevue. He has worked with insurance carriers and for Mercer, and was Regence Blue Shield's director of sales. The Partners Group's services include employee benefits, business consulting, retirement planning, investment services, commercial and individual insurance.
