Atlas

In Seattle, Gensler hired Riley Atlas as a senior brand project designer and Andy Su as a senior designer. Atlas works in environmental graphic design, experience design and architecture, and has a background in exhibit, retail and communication design. He won the Rado Young Designer Award in the 2009 Dutch Design Awards, and has worked with clients such as Nike and prAna. Su has experience in academic, media, workplace, health care, GSA, transportation, hospitality, entertainment, retail and mixed-use projects. He has worked on Google's new campus in Mountain View, Calif., and Bloomberg's Experience Center in Hong Kong.

Buckland & Taylor's U.S. headquarters office in Seattle hired Barbara Moffat as director of project and quality management company-wide and Schaun Valdovinos as a senior bridge engineer. Moffat is a structural engineer and project manager who was Western regional quality manager at Jacobs. She has worked on bridges, tunnels and transit projects, and was station lead on East Link's final design, and project manager on the South Spokane Street widening and Fourth Avenue off-ramp projects. Valdovinos has worked on pedestrian, highway girder and elevated light rail bridge projects. Previously at Hatch Mott MacDonald, he was project engineer on East Link, and structural lead on South Link Light Rail, Phase 1 and 2. Buckland & Taylor is a COWI company and provides bridge engineering services worldwide.

Evans

Rice Fergus Miller hired Keith Evans as an architect in the community and health care studios, and Sean Moyano as a designer in the hospitality and community studios. Over the last 15 years, Evans has worked on housing, mixed-use, office, health care and master planning projects. Moyano holds a bachelor of architecture degree from New York Institute of Technology and has experience on health care and commercial projects. Bremerton-based Rice Fergus Miller is an architecture, interior design and planning firm.

OAC hired Nazzarena Seaman as a project engineer and Margaret Anderson as a senior project coordinator in Seattle. Seaman has done contract negotiations and operations management for commercial and residential construction. She will support projects for Lake Washington School District. Anderson has provided project support in construction for over 15 years, and will support private and public projects.

Gibbs & Olson hired Kristopher Rogers as an engineering technician. Rogers has 15 years of experience with civil and industrial projects, and construction inspections. He is working on roads, stormwater, water and wastewater design. Gibbs & Olson is a Longview-based civil engineering and land surveying firm.

Podoll joined the firm in 2003 and has over 20 years of technical background that began in health care design. His experience includes public, private and nonprofit projects. Wheeler was hired in 2003, and is an architect and team leader with over 17 years of experience, specializing in community centers and housing. Wandasiewicz was hired in 2001, and is an architect and project manager with over 14 years of experience, concentrating on civic and higher education projects. Curtis joined the firm in 2005 and is an architect and project manager with over 17 years of experience on community and civic projects. a|r|c is an architecture design firm that provides feasibility studies, site planning, programming, assessments, and design and construction services.

Moffatt & Nichol's Seattle office hired James A. Todd as a civil engineer. He has 15 years of experience with planning and engineering for railways in the U.S. and abroad, including management support for the Los Angeles to San Diego rail corridor improvement project.

Chloe Buerstatte joined Bernardo|Wills Architects as an interior designer. She holds a bachelor's in interior design from Washington State University and worked at Contract Design Associates in Spokane. She is working on Numerica Credit Union in Spokane Valley. Bernardo|Wills provides architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and master planning.

Fisher & Phillips

Fisher & Phillips LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, is opening an office in Seattle with Davis C. Bae, an immigration attorney with a national practice, as managing partner. Joining him are partners Nick Beermann and Catharine Morisset, and Of Counsel Robert Neale. Clarence Belnavis, a Fisher & Phillips partner in Portland, will split his time between the Seattle and Portland offices. The firm focuses exclusively on labor and employment law, with 300 attorneys in 31 offices including Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Renton-based Odin named Mike Riolo general manager and vice president of sales for the Americas. Riolo has worked at Odin for 11 years and was vice president of cloud services automation. Odin provides software for the cloud, serving small hosters as well as global telecom providers.

Estate Planning Council

The Estate Planning Council of Seattle has new officers for 2015-2016. P. Gerry Maurer with Northwestern Mutual is president, and immediate past president is Michael Vranizan of Vranizan & Associates. Kurt Olson with Fahlman Olson & Little is president-elect. Ron Nagle is treasurer and Carla Wigen is secretary.
