In its Spokane office, NAC Architecture hired Laura Hill as human resources director, Chad Schmidt as an associate, Cody Dompier as an architect, Robert Straub as a communications distribution designer, Courtney Merrill as an office coordinator and David Baumann and Andy Phan as electrical designer/technicians. Hill is responsible for employee recruitment, benefits and compensation, and training and development. Schmidt is an architect who is working on Cascade High School in Leavenworth. Dompier is an architect with eight years of experience. He is working on the Tri-State Hospital master facility plan update in Clarkston. Straub has over nine years of engineering experience in education and institutional projects. He is working on Mount Si High School replacement in Snoqualmie. Merrill does administrative work. Baumann holds a bachelor's in technology from Eastern Washington University. He is working on Providence Health & Services infrastructure master plan. Phan has a bachelor's in electrical engineering from Eastern Washington University and is working on the Workforce and Business Development Center at Walla Walla Community College's Clarkston campus. NAC provides planning, design, engineering, and capital facilities consulting services.

Landscape architect Miranda Este joined SCJ Alliance in Seattle. She has worked on projects in over 10 countries, including a resort in Morocco, conceptual design and construction documents for the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach and master planning for a planned Ritz Carlton in the Bahamas. SCJ provides transportation planning and design, civil engineering, landscape architecture and land use/environmental planning.

B+H Architects

In its Seattle office, B+H Architects hired Laura Libby as a senior project designer. Libby has nine years of experience in commercial interior design. She has worked on mixed-use, civic and corporate projects and her clients have included Amazon, Microsoft and Facebook. She was an interior designer at Gensler, LMN Architects and Mercedes Fernandez Interior Design, and worked for the International Interior Design Association's Northern Pacific Chapter. B+H is a global design firm.

Children's Home Society of Washington

Children's Home Society of Washington has announced that Rachel Robert, director of Finance & Operations for the Seattle Repertory Theatre, has joined the Board of Trustees.

She joins with 21 other trustees who are leaders in finance, law, real estate and other professional fields.

With more than 30 years of experience as a CPA, Robert has worked at the Seattle Repertory Theatre for 21 years. She previously held the position of chief financial officer at CHSW for five years.

She has served in various volunteer leadership positions, is a guest speaker at top academic institutions and conferences and is currently an adjunct professor for the MFA Arts Leadership program at Seattle University.

Anchorage Superior Court

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — The Alaska Judicial Council is advancing four finalists for consideration for an upcoming vacancy on the Anchorage Superior Court.

The nominees are private practice attorneys Dani Crosby and Kevin Fitzgerald; Josie Garton, an assistant public defender; and Jonathan Woodman, a senior assistant attorney general.

Gov. Bill Walker will decide which of the nominees will succeed retiring Judge Michael Spaan.

Bellevue-based Express Construction Co. opened an office in downtown Seattle to better support its clients. The address is 1402 Third Ave., Suite 330. The company also hired Bryden Mathis as senior project engineer and Matt Durant as superintendent. Mathis holds a bachelor's degree in biomedical science and engineering from North Carolina State University, and is trained in lean construction methods. Durant returned to Express after a one-year hiatus.

Lydig Construction

Tim Graybeal joined Lydig Construction as project manager. Graybeal is a licensed professional engineer with 18 years of design and design management experience, including a focus on alternative delivery methods. He serves on the project review committee of the state Capital Projects Advisory Review Board, and on the board of the Inland Northwest Chapter of the Design Build Institute of America. Lydig has offices in Spokane, Kennewick and Bellevue.

Mortenson Construction

Kendall Nielsen joined Mortenson Construction's Seattle operating group as construction executive supporting sports and hospitality projects in the Pacific Northwest. Nielsen previously served in a similar role with Mortenson's national projects group in Minneapolis. He has 14 years of industry experience, and holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Brigham Young University.

Seattle-based Dexter + Chaney appointed Eric Newton as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Newton is growing sales of the company's construction management software called Spectrum. He previously headed Comdata's expansion of its integrated financial products into the construction industry.

Wayne's Roofing of Sumner was recently recognized as the No. 1 roofing contractor in the region by Roofing Contractor magazine. Wayne's also was ranked 38th in the nation. Rankings were based on total revenue.

Integrity Energy Services announced the addition of Bill Younger to the IES team. As vice president of Energy Performance Services, he will collaborate with customers to implement efficiency benchmarking services, sustainability master plans, resource conservation programs, and energy efficiency solutions.

Younger is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) with over 25 years of experience in the development and administration of energy efficiency programs for utilities and state energy offices. Younger was inducted into the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Energy Managers Hall of Fame in 2007.

Younger was previously the manager of Business Energy Management for Puget Sound Energy (PSE) where he managed the energy efficiency programs for commercial and industrial customers.

Ridolfi

Ramirez

Ridolfi, a Seattle-based environmental engineering and scientific consulting firm, hired Elena Ramirez, L.G. as a senior environmental scientist/geologist.

Ramirez joins Ridolfi with 10 years of experience working on contaminated site investigations, environmental due diligence, and landfill environmental compliance projects. In the past, she provided environmental oversight for the Letterman Digital Arts Redevelopment project at the Presidio of San Francisco. In her new role at Ridolfi, Ramirez is supporting Washington State Department of Ecology to evaluate human and ecological risks associated with the Occidental Chemical Site in Tacoma.

Established in 1990, Ridolfi specializes in assisting clients in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska improve environmental quality by remediating, protecting, and restoring natural resources using sustainable principles.

One Eighty Foundation

The One Eighty Foundation announced the hiring of Barbie Seifert as the new executive director. Seifert will lead the foundation in providing funding to children and families by giving to organizations like Kindering, YouthCare, YMCA, Spruce Street Inn, TreeHouse, Rick's Toys for Kids among others.
