Portland-based Ater Wynne and C. Bradford Biddle, P.C. have formed a strategic alliance to serve global technology consortia such as standards-setting organizations. Brad Biddle, former standards counsel for Intel Corp., is principal of C. Bradford Biddle, P.C., a solo law firm. Ater Wynne's Technology Consortia Group is led by Frank X. Curci.
Willamette Dental Group, a Hillsboro, Oregon-based dental health care provider, has opened an office in Spokane Valley at 9019 E. Mission Ave. It has 19 operatories and an orthodontics bay, and will offer periodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics and general dentistry. Dr. Eugene Skourtes is CEO and president of the firm, which has 53 offices in Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
Kidder Mathews has a new office in Orange County, California, its 14th overall. The Seattle-based firm recruited several local brokers and plans to have up to 30 employees there by the end of 2017. Here are the new hires: David Burback, senior vice president, industrial; Herb Grabell, senior vice president, industrial; Fouy Ly, senior vice president, retail investments; Ted Sawyer, senior vice president, industrial; Justin Helbig, first vice president, life science; Pete Beauchamp, senior vice president, investments; and Jerry Holdner, director of research. Kidder Mathews has more than 550 employees in Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada and Arizona.

Coldwell Banker Bain|Seal said it led the Northwest in luxury house sales in 2015 and was the top Coldwell Banker affiliate in sales volume. Sales totaled $6 billion, including several houses that sold for more than $10 million. There are more than 3,000 Coldwell Banker affiliates in 49 countries. Coldwell Banker Bain|Seal said 11 Pacific Northwest offices earned the premier office designation, which is determined by sales volume and commissions.
The Seminar Group will hold a seminar on construction scheduling and delay claims April 28 at Hilton Seattle. In Seattle, NBBJ promoted Juli Cook, Jane Loura, Sam Stubblefield and Carl Tully to principal. Cook is NBBJ's chief operating officer and oversees global operations in 11 offices. She has introduced new business models at Corbis Images, Deloitte and Sotheby's. Loura has over 15 years of experience as a registered nurse and hospital administrator. Since joining NBBJ in 2006, she has worked on transition management and health care planning for UW Medical Center, LSU and Seattle Children's. Stubblefield is a designer interested in how art, architecture and digital technology influence culture, and has woven media into architectural projects. His work has won AIA, IIDA and SEGD design awards, and Mobius Gold and Cannes Lions International awards. Tully leads complex projects, from urban high rises to community hospitals. He chairs a city of Seattle committee for Swedish Hospital and advocates for Seattle's urban trail network.






In Seattle, Integrus Architecture hired Kayla Ford, Kelsey Helland and Jeff Luedeman as intern architects, Ian Kane as an engineer-in-training, Kate Vincent as an architect and Kim Young as a project manager. Ford holds a bachelor's of design in architecture from the University of Florida and is working on the K-12 team. Helland holds a masters of architecture degree from Kansas State University. Luedeman has a bachelor's of architecture and a master's in architecture from Washington State University. Kane in on the structural engineering team. He holds a master's in civil engineering from the University of Washington and a bachelor's in civil engineering from the University of Arizona. Vincent is working on a Catholic school in Billings, Montana. She holds a bachelor's of architecture degree from Catholic University of America and a masters of architecture from University of Oregon. Young has over 20 years of experience on K-12, civic, workplace and hospitality projects.

In Seattle, DCI Engineers promoted Matthew Frisby to civil project manager. Frisby joined the firm in 2007, and has worked on mixed-use, hospitality, office, storage, parking, road and residential projects. DCI is a civil and structural engineering firm, with offices also in Spokane, Portland, Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Austin and Anchorage.

In Seattle, Morrison Hershfield hired Colin Rogers and Mina Akhavan as building science consultants. In Portland, it hired John Daly and Robert Jackson as building science consultants. Rogers has over 10 years of experience in architecture, engineering and construction, including project management and building envelope design. Akhavan is an engineer-in-training and is on the Seattle Building Envelope Council. Morrison Hershfield is an engineering firm with 19 offices in North America.
The Blueline Group hired Scott Black as an engineering designer. Black has over 30 years of civil engineering experience that includes residential, municipal and commercial projects in the southeastern U.S. Blueline provides civil engineering consulting services.
Trevor Zandell has joined the law firm of Phillips Burgess. He has been practicing law in Olympia for nearly a decade, and will focus his practice on real estate, construction, landlord-tenant issues and business law. He was with Swanson Law Firm in Olympia. Phillips Burgess specializes in business, real estate and environmental law, with offices in Olympia and Tacoma.
HomeStreet Bank is expanding into San Diego with two new branches: Mission Gorge at 6515 Mission Gorge Road and Kearny Mesa at 9363 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. The bank said it will grow to 117 branches and home loan centers in nine western states. It bought Orange County Business Bank in Irvine, acquired Simplicity Bank in Los Angeles and launched HomeStreet Commercial Capital in Brea.
