Gensler Seattle promoted project manager Case Creal to senior associate. Creal is an architect leading several West Coast projects with citizenM Hotels, and managing Crescent Heights' project at 1901 Minor Ave. in Seattle. He also leads the Seattle office's design management group.

In Seattle, GGLO promoted Jon Hall to principal, Kelley LeBlanc, Judd Eddy, Christine Harrington and George Valdez to senior associate, Randa Morgan, Steve Kane, Scott Schreffler and Jessie Templeton to associate, and Alfredo Africa to information systems manager. In Los Angeles, it promoted Gerhard Mayer to principal and Amy Hartwell to senior associate. Hall has been a leader in affordable housing, quality management and sustainable design, with work on housing, hospitality and retail. LeBlanc is a project architect with over 16 years of experience on multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality and affordable housing. Eddy has project management experience on mixed-use, office, residential high-rise, retail center, hotel, tenant improvement, retail improvement and industrial projects. He has worked domestically and abroad, including in the Middle East. Harrington has been a project manager and lead landscape architect, working on parks, civic spaces, campuses, urban infill and spaces with public art. In Seattle, she is working on Civic Square, a high-rise, mixed-use project.

Valdez has over 19 years of experience in multifamily, commercial, higher education, office and retail projects, and has worked on architecture and interior design. Morgan has bachelor's in applied human sciences in construction management and interior architecture from Colorado State University. She has completed projects in Aspen, Colorado; Portland and Seattle. Kane has over 20 years of experience. He has worked on office, lab and health care projects. Schreffler is an architect with 25 years of industry experience. He works on multifamily and mixed-use. Templeton has worked on multifamily, cohousing and single-family projects. Africa joined GGLO as a systems administrator and has been in the A/E/C industry for over 20 years, starting as a draftsman. Mayer joined GGLO in November. He has led his own firm, and worked for Gensler and Frank Gehry. He was chair of Los Angeles AIA's Urban Design Committee and has worked on projects in America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Hartwell has project management experience with multifamily, mixed-use and rehab projects.

Seattle-based Berk Consulting promoted Lisa Grueter to principal and Jeff Arango to associate principal. Grueter has over two decades of land use planning and project management experience. Arango has over 15 years of land use planning and urban design experience, including as director of community planning for Langley. Berk provides strategy, planning, and policy development services; financial and economic analysis; and facilitation, design and communications.

Brad Thomas, a Forbes financial analyst who focuses on real estate investment trusts, is bringing his newsletter, podcast and website, iREITinvestor.com, to TheMaven. The Seattle-based media network is being launched this quarter by James Heckman, formerly and executive with News Corp. and Yahoo.

Spoken Communications

Spoken Communications, which provides Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) solutions, named Brian Silverman executive vice president of sales. Silverman was vice president and general manager at inContact, and co-founder and CEO of the call center provider Five9. Spoken said it combines cloud, big data and AI technologies.

Schultz

Vioguard, which provides ultraviolet light disinfecting solutions for health care, named David Schultz president and CEO, replacing Laurance Ranta, who will play an advisory role in the company. Schultz was executive vice president of global operations for EagleView Technologies, and also worked at The Ryland Group. Vioguard makes a self-sanitizing automated keyboard and mouse system.

Perkins Coie

Perkins Coie said Eric D. Miller and Christine M. Salmi have been selected as appellate lawyer representatives for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, serving through 2019. Miller is chair of the firm's appellate law practice, based in Seattle. Salmi is a senior counsel in the Boise office, and heads the local litigation practice.

The Walsh Group

Schmidt

The Walsh Group in Seattle hired Troy Schmidt as project engineer for the AAC Black Hawk hangar project at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Schmidt previously was a project engineer in the Quality Control Department at Walsh's McConnell Air Force Base project in Kansas, where he tracked more than 5,000 submittals.

Keith Spencer was named plant manager at Oregon Door in Winston, Oregon. Spencer recently managed all Oregon and Northern California operations for Reddyice Corp., and worked at Roseburg Forest Products prior to that. He holds a bachelor's degree in operations management from Concordia University in Portland, and is a Coast Guard veteran.

Flooring Association Northwest

Mike Ericson, architectural representative for Daltile, was named 2017 board president of Flooring Association Northwest. Other officers are: Heidi Cronin of Cronin Co., president emeritus; Bryan Goffe of Double Eagle Interiors, vice president; and Matt O'Haleck of Hammond Knoll, treasurer/secretary. ACPA

The American Concrete Pumping Association elected its new executive board at its annual meeting last month in Las Vegas. Included was Roy Thompson of Champion Concrete Pumping in Hauser, Idaho. Thompson is serving a one-year term as a pump director.
