In Seattle, DLR Group promoted these people to associate: Michael Anderson, Ryan Burgdorfer, Jon Connors, Brett Dearing, Natalie Georgieff, Megan Judge, Kelly Mabry, Steve Reigh, Ben Rishel and Bill Xu. DLR provides architecture, engineering, interiors, planning and building optimization for new construction, renovation and adaptive reuse projects.
Seattle-based Hargis Engineers promoted Cori Anderson, Eric Mills, Jeff Hoover and Michael Daley to associate. Anderson leads prototype/standards development and system design for international technology clients. Mills and Hoover have a background in K-12 systems and work on projects for Washington school districts. Daley is a mechanical engineer and energy consultant who works with retailers. Hargis is a mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, security, energy conservation and commissioning consulting engineering firm.
Erik Johansen joined Elliott Bay Design Group's New Orleans office as an electrical engineer. Johansen has 20 years of marine electrical experience. He has provided electrical engineering for workboats, ferries, tugboats, platform support vessels and carriers. EBDG provides naval architecture, marine engineering and production support services.
Andrew Rapp has been elected principal at Riddell Williams. He focuses on commercial real estate transactions, working with companies, shopping center owners, national tenants and developers on leasing, purchase and sale and financing. He also advises clients on guaranties, construction, easements, foreclosure, due diligence and title issues.
Seattle-based nonprofit dialysis provider Northwest Kidney Centers has hired Bob Peck as its new vice president of human resources. He was director of human resources at UW Medicine — Neighborhood Clinics and also worked for PeaceHealth.

Seattle-based Coldstream Holdings, the parent company of Coldstream Wealth Management, has closed its merger with The Rainier Group of Bellevue. Rainier Group Investment Advisory is now doing business as Coldstream Wealth Management, and Rainier Group Business Advisory continues to operate under the name and brand of The Rainier Group. With the addition, Coldstream Wealth Management said it now manages approximately $2.8 billion in assets for 1,300 clients.
Washington State University has hired Bri Ewing as a food and fermentation specialist at Mount Vernon Research and Extension Center. She will create workshops and programs for cider makers, and teach classes at the new WSU campus in Everett. Ewing's background is in the wine industry in California and New Zealand.
The Portland Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association appointed Patricia Dunn to the 2017-18 Executive Committee. Dunn is CFO for Siteworks Design|Build in Portland. She has been a member since 2009, is a past chapter president, and served on the Education Committee and board of directors.
Apollo Mechanical Contractors and Apollo Inc. have logged a .038 experience modification rate, the lowest of all construction contractors in Washington for the eighth straight year, according to the Kennewick-based firms.
More than 800 supporters of Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County helped raise more than $690,000 at Habitat's 2017 Beyond the Build Luncheon held last month in Seattle. Funds raised will help support Habitat's home ownership, home repair and community revitalization programs. Volunteer Bob Moore was recognized at the luncheon for this longterm support of the organization.
