In Bellevue, Rafn Co. promoted Josh George to labor foreman and hired John Koppe as assistant project manager/project engineer, Shawn Scott as project manager, Dan Paczosa as superintendent, Jera Kane as accounting administrator, and Adam Clever and Israa Alseadi as project engineers. George joined Rafn in 2007 and is working at the Mercy Magnuson Place renovation/housing project. Koppe, AIA, LEED AP, was an architect for 30 years and is working on the renovation of Town Hall Seattle. Scott, LEED AP, has 11 years of construction management experience and is working at the Magnuson project. Paczosa has experience with occupied projects and is working at the Homestreet Bank branch buildout in Gig Harbor. Kane specializes in prevailing wage compliance and previously was an office manager. Clever has 25 years of construction experience and is working on a new apartment building for Mount Baker Housing. Alseadi is pursuing a master's degree in construction management and is working at the Magnuson project.

Hermanson Co.

Hamilton

Hermanson Co.'s Critical Environments Group hired Scott Hamilton as project manager. Hamilton has nearly 30 years of experience in mechanical construction, in roles ranging from steamfitter to project manager.

MBA of King and Snohomish Counties

Peter Orser and Todd Bennett were inducted into the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties' Hall of Fame. Orser was president and CEO Quadrant Homes, and later held the same positions at Weyerhaeuser. Bennett is the founder and president of BDR Cos. and was a principal at Bennett Homes for 30 years.

Timothy Mott was promoted to general manager of Knob Hill Inn in Sun Valley, Idaho. Mott joined Knob Hill Inn in 2013. Prior to that, he was assistant general manager at The Club at Big Bear Village in Big Bear Lake, California.

Corr Cronin

Attorney Jordann Hallstrom joined Corr Cronin in Seattle. Hallstrom practices civil and complex commercial litigation. She was an associate at Williams Kastner in Seattle, and a business analyst and internal auditor prior to her law career.

LaNesha DeBardelaben is the new executive director of the Northwest African American Museum in Seattle. DeBardelaben was senior vice president at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit and started her career at the National Museum of Kenya in Africa. She studied museum and library management in England and Germany.

RAA

RAA, an investment advisory firm specializing in the airline industry, hired Gary Peterson as vice president and financial consultant in the Seattle office. Peterson was a financial advisor at Waddell & Reed and has invested in financial markets for over 30 years. He is helping expand the Seattle office.

Hampton by Hilton in Leavenworth

Hampton by Hilton has a new hotel in the resort town of Leavenworth, one of 12 new hotels it opened in November and December. In a release, Hampton by Hilton said, “Guests can stroll along nearby Front Street amongst the unique Bavarian-style buildings. Restaurants throughout the area also offer German cuisine. For those looking to embrace the holidays, Leavenworth's famous Nutcracker Museum displays thousands of nutcrackers, some dating back centuries.” The hotel is at 301 Ward Strasse, near the Safeway.

Shilshole Development hires Hickey

Shilshole Development Co. has added Nate Hickey as its new operations director. He made the move in September, following a stint with Urban Visions. He has prior experience at Kidder Mathews and Forterra, and degrees in urban planning from the University of Washington and architecture from the University of Notre Dame. Shilshole specializes in green building and infill projects, including a zero-net, 42-unit apartment building being planned in Fremont.

Berkadia works on San Jose TOD

Vespaio at Diridon Station

The Seattle office of Berkadia arranged a $64 million construction loan for Vespaio at Diridon Station, a 162-unit mixed-use complex being built in San Jose, near a planned Google facility. Lou Weisman led the team on behalf of developer The Hudson Companies. A national debt fund supplied the four-year floating-rate, interest-only loan. Weisman said Diridon Station will become the Southern terminus for BART's expansion.

Brimhall joins mortgage board

The National Association of Professional Mortgage Women said that Skagit Bank's Adrienne Brimhall has been elected to its board. A 25-year veteran of the mortgage industry, she's based in the Ballard office of Skagit Bank.

Suncadia sales up 24%

Suncadia resort said that sales were up 24 percent in 2017. Over 200 properties were sold, mostly by sister company Suncadia Real Estate Sales, with a value of $85 million. Suncadia's Richard Seay said in a statement, “We've seen our community welcome hundreds of homeowners and families with the sale of more than 87 homes and condominiums, as well as 117 homesites.” The 6,000-acre resort began its first phase of development in 2002. Located near Roslyn, it's about a two-hour drive over Interstate 90 from Seattle.
