Jackson

Warren A. Jackson was named environmental health and safety director for Portland-based EC Electric, which employs over 1,000 licensed electricians and staff throughout the Pacific Northwest. Jackson spent 18 years as a firefighter, owned a construction company and was a safety manager in the electrical construction industry.




Trico Companies

Conner

Andy Conner has become a principal of the Trico Companies in Burlington. Conner leads the company's civil construction sector and has 20 years of construction experience with an emphasis on heavy civil and utility projects. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Boise State University.





Venture General Contracting

Oster

Dani Oster was promoted to marketing manager at Venture General Contracting in Seattle. Oster worked for Zillow prior to joining Venture in 2016. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Washington.





Northwest Polite Society

Sarah Kinney joined Northwest Polite Society, a Seattle marketing and public relations firm, as publicist and social media manager. Kinney previously was tour publicist and social media manager with Hearth Music. She also has run marketing and publicity campaigns for Northwest Folklife Festival, The Van's Warped Tour, Mike Thrasher Presents and Cascade Tickets.

State of Alaska

Travis Welch, police chief of the North Slope Borough, was appointed to the board that regulates Alaska's legal marijuana industry. Welch takes over the public safety seat on the board, which was vacated by Soldotna Police Chief Peter Mlynarik after the U.S. Department of Justice changed its policy on marijuana enforcement. The Alaska Legislature must confirm Welch's appointment.

Sumner

Bryceon Sumner joined Seattle-based Foss Maritime as chief financial officer. Sumner, a CPA, previously was CFO of Academic Partnerships, a Dallas-based educational technology provider. He also has been COO and CFO for public and private companies, and a senior financial officer of a government banking insurance fund.

Skagit County

The Skagit County Board of Commissioners selected Hal H. Hart as director of the county's Planning and Development Services department. Hart has more than 20 years of experience in rural and urban planning, most recently as director of the Anchorage Planning Department. In the past, he was director of Planning and Development Services for the city of Woodinville.

Seattle-based MG2 hired Mona Lee Locke as vice president of strategy and business development. The former journalist and first lady of Washington State has worked in the public, private and government sectors. Her skills include strategic planning, brand strategy and marketing/communication. As part of her job, she will oversee the marketing team. MG2 provides architecture, planning, interior design, brand strategy and consulting.

Seattle-based Runberg Architecture Group hired Archie Chamness as a project manager and Charles Lorell as a designer. Chamness has over 12 years of experience in design and construction, with multifamily garden style apartments, adaptive reuse and mixed-use. Lorell holds a bachelor of architecture degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology and an associate in interior design from Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC. Runberg specializes in mixed-use, housing and adaptive reuse projects.

In Tacoma, it hired, Dan Tappel as a project manager, Martin Cortez as a project engineer and Jacob Baker, Jared Dragovich and Connor Pierce as design engineers. Augustine has 12 years of experience in the design and construction industry. He is working on Park at Elk Grove memory care facility in California. Karimzadeh has a master's in structural engineering from Washington State University, and is working on Eckstein Middle School in Seattle. Park holds bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from George Washington University. Her projects include Green Dot High School in Seattle. Tappel has over seven years of industry experience. He is working on Madison Elementary School in Mount Vernon. Cortez has four years of experience in the A/E/C industry and is working on Sumner High School in Sumner. Baker has bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from WSU. He is working on Webster Elementary School. Dragovich holds a bachelor's in civil engineering from WSU and a master's in civil engineering from the University of Illinois. He is working on Mead Elementary School in Sammamish. Pierce has two years of industry experience. He is working on the Eastside Street multifamily development in Olympia. PCS is a structural engineering firm, with an office also in Portland.

Johnson

Trico Cos. hired Peter Johnson as a project engineer. Johnson was project lead on research and development industrial processes, managing design, fabrication and testing of these systems for application in the Third World. He has a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Washington State University.

Trevor Zandell was named partner at the Olympia-Tacoma law firm of Phillips Burgess. Zandell has been practicing in the South Sound for more than a decade, focusing primarily on civil litigation with an emphasis on real estate, construction and business law.

Perkins Coie

Steve Bishop and Shannon Bloodworth were named firmwide co-chairs of Perkins Coie's Intellectual Property practice. Bishop, a partner in the firm's Seattle office, and Bloodworth, a partner in its Washington, D.C. office, succeed former co-chairs Paul Parker and Jon James. Bishop previously was the associate general counsel for intellectual property at Amazon. Bloodworth is experienced in complex patent litigation in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Auburn Mechanical hired Stephanie Andersen as chief financial officer, a new position at the firm. Andersen is overseeing financial strategy, as well as the finance/accounting, human resources and IT departments. She previously was controller at an underground power cable rejuvenation company.

Josh Holder is working in MEP quality control at The Walsh Group. Holder has 13 years of experience as a designer, estimator, and project manager in the mechanical and plumbing areas. He previously was project manager for Icon Mechanical in the St. Louis area. His current project is a seismic upgrade at Naval Station Kitsap in Bremerton.
