Thrower

Seattle-based DSC Capital promoted Jennifer Thrower to partner. Thrower joined DSC in 2016 as vice president. Before that, she was a senior loan originator in the Commercial Term Lending group at JPMorgan Chase. DSC is a commercial real estate mortgage banker.

Seattle Municipal Court

Gregory

McKenna

Seattle Municipal Court selected Ed McKenna as presiding judge and Willie Gregory as assistant presiding judge. McKenna replaces Karen Donohue, who was appointed to King County Superior Court. Gregory replaces McKenna, who was serving his second term in that role. The presiding judge leads the judicial branch of Seattle city government. The assistant presiding judge fills in when the presiding judge isn't available. Both serve two-year terms.

Bellevue Chamber

Bellevue Chamber of Commerce appointed eight new board members: Marc Berekja of REI, Jim Blundell of T-Mobile, Gary Guenther of Kidder Mathews, J. Michael Marsh of Overlake Medical Center, Chris Morgan of Grant Thornton, Greg Russell of Peterson Russell Kelly, Tyler Tonkin of GLY Construction and Kevin Wallace of Wallace Properties.

In its Bellevue Tenant Improvement Division, general contractor Schuchart hired Joan Walters as project manager, Jola Bielecki and Ryan Bradford as project engineers, and Rick Poole and Clay Leighton as superintendents. In its Seattle Tenant Improvement Division, Schuchart hired Deontae Cooper, Raphael Basilio and Matt Howell as project engineers, and Brian Barge and Mike Petro as superintendents.

Will Thompson rejoined Auburn Mechanical as senior project manager. Thompson has decades of industry experience, previously working at PSF Mechanical and Hermanson Co. He was a project engineer, purchasing agent, estimator and project manager at Auburn Mechanical from 1991 to 1997.

In Seattle, Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted Lowrey Pugh to virtual design and construction (VDC) manager. Pugh started at Lewis in 2010. He leads operations between the VDC group and each project team.






Northwest Partitions

James Kahler

Rick Kahler

Rick Kahler sold Northwest Partitions to his eldest son, James Kahler. Rick started the business in 1982, and will continue working as project executive at least through 2019. James has more than two decades of industry experience. He will keep his title of president and add CEO. Northwest Partitions is a Woodinville-based union wall and ceiling contractor.

Devin McComb joined Perkins Coie's Seattle office as a partner in the Real Estate & Land Use practice. McComb comes from Stoel Rives, where he was a partner. His practice includes transactional real estate law, with a focus on acquisition, disposition, financing, leasing and development of commercial, industrial and agricultural properties.

Staypineapple

Bellevue-based hospitality company Staypineapple hired Troy Longwith as regional director of operations. Longwith was general manager of The Heathman Hotel Kirkland, and also has worked at Tulalip Resort Casino, Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle and Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. Staypineapple represents eight privately owned and managed hotels in Seattle, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco and Chicago.

Washington Winegrowers Association

Washington Winegrowers Association honored several people at its annual convention and trade show in Kennewick. Mike Andrews, owner of Coyote Canyon Vineyards and Winery, won the Erick Hanson Memorial Winegrape Grower of the Year; Tom Waliser, owner of Beresan Winery, won the Industry Service Award; Paul Champoux, former owner of Champoux vineyards, won the Lifetime Achievement Award; and Rick Small, owner of Woodward Canyon Winery, won the Grand Vin Award.
