Hannah

Tanya Hannah is chief information officer in King County's Department of Information Technology. Hannah joined the 450-person department in June 2017 as deputy director, and served as interim CIO since October. She was a senior manager at Amazon and Computer Sciences Corp.

City of Bainbridge Island

Drew

The city of Bainbridge Island hired KOMO news reporter Kristen Drew as communications coordinator. Drew starts next week.

Washington PTAC

Scroggs

Tiffany Scroggs is president of the Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers. Scroggs is program manager of Thurston Economic Development Council's Washington State Procurement Technical Assistance Center, which helps businesses that sell to federal, state and local governments. APTAC has 600 members from 94 centers.

City of Tacoma

The city of Tacoma has a new GeoHub GIS portal at geohub.cityoftacoma.org. The portal can be used to access all of the city's public GIS maps, applications and data. It replaces the govME portal that the city operated since 2000. A news release says the new portal is part of the city's effort to enhance transparency.

Hermanson Co.

Healey

Tim Healey joined Hermanson Co. as human resources director and executive team member. Healey worked in senior HR roles at the Opportunity Council in Bellingham, Weyerhaeuser, T-Mobile and Domtar. He holds a bachelor's degree in industrial psychology from Western Washington University and an MBA from USC. Hermanson provides mechanical construction, design-build engineering and service/maintenance throughout the Pacific Northwest.



SMACNA

SMACNA opened a Hawaii chapter in Honolulu with Blake Parsons as executive director. The new chapter represents more than 40 contractor firms and covers the entire state. SMACNA is an international association representing 3,500 unionized contractors in the sheet metal and HVAC industries.

Viewpoint

Portland-based construction software developer Viewpoint bought Keystyle Data Solutions of Monrovia, California. Keystyle has partnered with Viewpoint since 2014 on browser interfaces that integrate with Vista, helping contractors connect their office, team and field operations.

City of Redmond

Vandenbrande

Erika Vandenbrande was appointed interim planning director for the city of Redmond following Karen Anderson's resignation last month. Vandenbrande has worked at the city since 2001 and is deputy city administrator. She will hold both positions until a new planning director is hired.

UW Bothell

Anderson

University of Washington Bothell named Maria Lamarca Anderson director of communications. Lamarca Anderson has more than 25 years of experience in communications and public engagement in higher education, corporations, public agencies and nonprofits. She spent the past five years in the communications office at Seattle Colleges, and has worked at KING and KIRO television stations.

Visualant

Bosua

Phil Bosua was appointed CEO and board member at Visualant, a Seattle company specializing in technologies for identification, authentication and diagnosis, based on the science of light. Bosua was chief product officer and a member of Visualant's scientific advisory board. He founded LIFX, where he created the world's first commercial smart light bulb. Visualant also is buying RAAI Inc., another company founded by Bosua. Visualant founder Ron Erickson remains board chair.

PNNL

Cowen

Tracie Cowen on April 23 will become CFO and associate laboratory director for Business Services at the Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland. Cowen is division director for business development and analysis at PNNL, and has been with PNNL and Battelle for 25 years. Battelle operates PNNL.
