In Seattle, structural engineering firm PCS Structural Solutions hired Chris Jeseritz as a project engineer, Sunny Siddhu as a design engineer, and Sharon Mika Sweney, Steven Farmer Jr., Katya Finegold and Hee Jin Byun as BIM technicians. In Tacoma, it hired Paige Jones as human resources manager, Ellen Williams as an administrative assistant, Hai Lin as a design engineer, and Bryce Floyd, Marv Fucal and Daniel Hollar as BIM technicians. In Portland, it hired Shadow Woodfork as a project manager. Jeseritz has three years of experience and bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from South Dakota State University. He is working on Bellevue Memory Care. Siddhu has a master's in civil engineering from Oregon State University and a bachelor's in civil engineering from Washington State University. His projects include King County Housing Authority's Highland Village in Bellevue. Sweney has an associate degree in drafting and design technology from ITT Technical College in Seattle. She is working on the YMCA in Everett. Farmer has an associate degree in BIM from Sanford-Brown College. He has four years of experience and is working on residential projects. Finegold has a master's in civil engineering from Moscow State University of Civil Engineering in Russia and seven years of engineering, drafting and project management experience in Russia, Israel and Seattle. She is working on multifamily projects. Byun attended Virginia Tech, has four years of BIM experience and is working on projects. Jones has a bachelor's in communications and business from WSU and over 20 years of human resources experience in construction, finance and health care. Williams has a bachelor's in theatre arts education from Brigham Young University in Utah and four years of experience as an administrative assistant. Lin has a year of experience and bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from Virginia Tech. His work includes Madison Elementary School in Mount Vernon. Floyd has an associate degree in architectural design from Clover Park Technical College and a year of experience. He is working on Madison Elementary. Fucal has a bachelor's in architectural studies from WSU. He has three years of experience with engineering drafting and over 10 years with architectural design drafting. He is working on the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma. Hollar has nine years of BIM experience and a civil technology degree from Rochester Institute of Technology's National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, New York. He is working on projects. Woodfork has 15 years of experience and a bachelor's in architectural engineering from the University of Wyoming. He is working on two new elementary schools in Centralia.

Coffman Engineers

Naess

Coffman Engineers promoted Oyvind Naess to principal. Naess is a mechanical engineering department manager in the Seattle office. He has over 25 years of experience on mixed-use, residential, hospitality high-rise, health care, assisted living, data center and commercial office projects. He is project manager for the cart washer and sterilizer upgrade project at UW Harborview Medical Center.

Bernardo|Wills Architects

Vishwanath

Spokane-based Bernardo|Wills Architects hired Manasa Vishwanath as firm-wide interiors department manager. She supports project and departmental level interior design and provides interior design services. Her 18 years of experience is focused on health care and includes corporate office and multi-use buildings. She was with NAC Architecture. Bernardo|Wills provides architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and master planning.

Lasher Holzapfel Sperry & Ebberson

Seattle law firm Lasher Holzapfel Sperry & Ebberson hired estate planning attorneys Jill Fairchild and Konrad Miernowski. Fairchild holds a master's degree in taxation from the University of Washington School of Law, where she was a student attorney representing clients in disputes with the IRS. Konrad also holds a master's in taxation from the UW School of Law, and is a CPA.

City of Kent

Rafael “Raf” Padilla was named chief of the Kent Police Department. Padilla began as an officer with the Honolulu Police Department in 1992, and joined Kent in 1997, rising to assistant chief. He replaces Ken Thomas, who is pursuing other opportunities after 29 years with the department.

Lane Powell

Makiko Coffland, an associate at Lane Powell, was elected to a three-year term on the board of the Japan-America Society of Washington. Seattle-based law firm Lane Powell is a corporate member of the society that fosters trade, business and cultural activities between the state and Japan.

Point B

Russell Stockdale joined the board of Point B, a management consulting, digital studio, venture investment and real estate development firm in Seattle. Stockdale was vice president and general manager of EMC & Dell EMC's Cloud Data Protection unit, and a Microsoft vice president.

Alaska Air Group

Tidwell

Max Tidwell was named vice president of safety and security for Alaska Air Group and Alaska Airlines. Tidwell was the FAA division manager for Air Carrier Safety Assurance, and has held multiple roles at the FAA, including Seattle manager. He is command chief for the Washington Air National Guard, and an Air Force veteran. Tidwell succeeds Tom Nunn, who is retiring in June after 10 years with Alaska Airlines.

UnCruise Adventures

Glass

UnCruise Adventures, a small ship cruise line with offices in Seattle and Juneau, hired Michelle Glass as senior director of global sales. Glass has 25 years of tourism industry experience and was vice president of sales at Alaskan Dream Cruises. She is based at the Seattle headquarters.

Bank of America

Bank of America announced Kerri Schroeder will succeed Anthony DiBlasi as Seattle market president, and Kim Vu was promoted to Seattle market executive. Schroeder has held leadership positions since joining the bank in 1999. Vu has been with the bank for three years, previously as Seattle market manager for enterprise business and community engagement. DiBlasi will become the Merrill Lynch Wealth Management market executive for greater Los Angeles.

Cardiac Dimensions

Cardiac Dimensions, a developer of minimally invasive treatments for patients with heart failure, appointed Dr. Matthew Stark as vice president of clinical and regulatory affairs, and Trevor Moody to the board of directors. Stark has more than 15 years of experience in clinical study design and oversight, most recently as vice president of clinical and regulatory affairs for Terumo Aortic. Moody is managing director at M.H. Carnegie & Co. and has more than 25 years of experience in medical technology. Cardiac Dimensions has operations in Kirkland, Sydney and Frankfurt.

Skanska

McCain

Skanska promoted Kevin McCain to executive vice president and general manager of its Seattle operations. McCain succeeds Chris Toher, who was promoted to national COO of Skanska USA Building. McCain is a 26-year industry veteran who has spent his entire career in the Pacific Northwest. Toher, a 30-year Skanska veteran, continues to be based in the Seattle office.




Sound Transit

Billen

Don Billen was named executive director of Sound Transit's Planning, Environment and Project Development department. Billen was deputy director of the department and served as acting executive director since September. He started at the agency in 1996 as a graduate intern and became systems integration project coordinator, project manager, program manager and director.
