Peter Ansara on March 18 will become CEO of Korean Women's Association in Tacoma. Ansara was human services director at Pierce County and was KWA's executive director from 2009 to 2016. KWA provides services to diverse communities in 11 Western Washington counties.
WorkForce Central CEO Linda Nguyen will retire at year end after 28 years with the Tacoma-based program. Nguyen began as a youth case manager and in 2007 became CEO. She helped develop a regional workforce strategic plan for Pierce County residents. WorkForce Central connects workforce development partners.
The Seattle office of Buchalter has moved to US Bank Centre and added attorneys Ryan Montecucco, David Spellman and Jane Brown. Montecucco is leading the Corporate Practice Group. His practice focuses on mergers-and-acquisitions and financing transactions. Spellman, a seasoned trial lawyer, is a member of the Litigation Practice Group. Brown is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. She focuses on data privacy, regulatory and security issues. Buchalter has offices in California and Arizona.

APCO Worldwide hired Katherine Mackinnon as a director based in the Seattle office. Mackinnon comes from Nyhus Communications, where she specialized in reputation management, advocacy, strategic communications and public affairs. Prior to that, she was a policy and advocacy specialist at Downtown Seattle Association. APCO is an international public affairs firm with 29 offices.
Qumulo, a Seattle-based provider of hybrid cloud storage, added Mercer Rowe as vice president of business development and Josh Harbert as vice president of demand generation. Rowe was senior vice president and general manager of Avaya's cloud business. Harbert was vice president of marketing at enterprise software company Apptio.
Flora Bian is the new CFO at JND Legal Administration, a Seattle-based provider of legal management and administration for law firms, corporations and government entities. Bian is a CPA, and was CFO at SET in Portland. Before that, she was CFO and COO at Interbrand in Cincinnati.
Seattle-based business tax software developer Avalara appointed Amit Mathradas as president and COO, Sanjay Parthasarathy as chief product officer and Ross Tennenbaum as executive vice president of strategic initiatives. Mathradas was general manager of North American Small Business at PayPal. Parthasarathy founded Indix, an artificial intelligence platform recently bought by Avalara. Tennenbaum was a managing director in the technology investment banking division of Goldman Sachs.
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has hired residential brokers Gary and Pam Hendrickson from Keller Williams Realty Tacoma. Nationally, Berkshire counts about 50,000 agents and 1,450 offices, with its headquarters in Irvine, California.
Bridge Housing of San Francisco said Adrienne E. Quinn has joined its board. She is teaching at the U.W.'s Evans School of Public Policy and Governance, and was director of King County Department of Community and Human Services. Bridge has developed about 17,000 affordable units in California and the Northwest.
