Lien

In Seattle, GGLO promoted Jen Lien and Jasmin Dolores to senior associate. Lien has over 23 years of experience designing urban housing developments, commercial mixed-use and public transit projects, including as lead architect on multifamily projects in Seattle. Dolores has been with GGLO for 21 years. She is the accounting manager and has recently implemented a paperless interoffice transaction system. GGLO provides architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and urban design, with offices also in Los Angeles and Boise, Idaho.

WSP USA

Tanjuaquio

WSP USA hired Allan Tanjuaquio as a senior vice president and construction services lead for its West region, which includes Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Guam. Tanjuaquio has 29 years of program management and construction management experience and will deliver construction management projects and drive growth and operating performance for the region. Prior to joining WSP, he was a vice president and PM/CM regional manager for an international engineering firm, where he oversaw projects in the Southern California/Southwest region. Previously, he was with Caltrans for two decades. WSP USA is an engineering and professional services consultancy.

Ireland

Parametrix hired Scotty Ireland as a senior consultant in Puyallup. Ireland will provide project and construction management to public agencies in the Olympic Peninsula and Puget Sound regions. He has over 23 years of experience in project development, construction management and administration, and policy development. He was with Guy F. Atkinson Construction as the design-build project and construction quality assurance manager for the Interstate-5 Dupont-Steilacoom Corridor improvement project. Previously, he was with the Washington State Department of Transportation for 19 years. Parametrix provides engineering, planning and environmental sciences.

Wilson Engineering of Bellingham hired Rhett Winter as a project engineer. He will work on stormwater engineering projects. Winter has 20 years of civil engineering and project management experience with site development, stormwater, roads, parking, site grading, site utilities, water and sewer. Wilson provides civil engineering and surveying services.

BCE Engineers

Smith

Fife-based BCE Engineers promoted Jim Smith to senior associate. Smith has been with the firm for 13 years, and has enhanced engineering for many project teams in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. BCE is a mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering firm.

Hart Crowser

Ehlebracht

Mike Ehlebracht, principal geochemist at Seattle-based Hart Crowser, was named chair of the Snohomish County Marine Resources Committee, which advises the county on approaches to conserve the local marine environment. It does restoration, conservation and education projects with others. Members are appointed by the Snohomish County Council. Ehlebracht has volunteered for the MRC for six years.

Architects West

Olberding

Bryce Olberding has been appointed to the Idaho Board of Landscape Architects, which reviews license applications, rules on disciplinary matters brought against landscape architects, collaborates with the Council for Landscape Architectural Registration Board, works with Idaho Montana Chapter ASLA and promotes the practice of landscape architecture. He is a landscape architect in the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, office of Architects West, with experience on educational, civic, tribal and commercial projects.

HomeStreet

Seattle-based HomeStreet Inc., the parent company of HomeStreet Bank, named John M. Michel as CFO. Michel has nearly 40 years of experience in bank finance, treasury management, accounting, tax and public company reporting. He was CFO at First Foundation and held similar finance roles at other banks and specialty finance companies. He starts May 4 at HomeStreet.

K&L Gates

Global law firm K&L Gates hired Christopher Bellavia as a partner in its Seattle office. Bellavia has expertise in corporate governance, securities, and mergers and acquisitions. He recently was general counsel and corporate secretary for consumer goods and lifestyle brand company Bulletproof 360. Before that, he was general counsel at Fisher Communications and assistant general counsel at Washington Mutual.

Perkins Coie

Akane R. Suzuki joined Perkins Coie's trust and estate planning practice as a partner in the Seattle office. Suzuki focuses on succession planning for business owners, probate and trust administration, charitable giving, international estate planning, powers of attorney and wills. She also assists Japanese business clients with a variety of real estate matters including acquisitions, lease reviews and corporate maintenance.

West Monroe Partners

National business and technology consultancy West Monroe Partners promoted Lee Carswell to director and Jerin May to senior director, both in the Seattle office. Carswell joined West Monroe in 2014 via acquisition and has expertise in the financial services industry. May works with clients across industries to build technology infrastructure for their businesses. West Monroe is based in Chicago.

NanoSurface Biomedical

Seattle biotechnology company NanoSurface Biomedical received $1.9 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health for development of stem cell-based platforms that help pharmaceutical companies accelerate drug development. NanoSurface previously received $1.2 million from NIH.

Good Planet Foods

Seattle-based Good Planet Foods has developed a frozen pizza using plant-based cheese and Beyond Meat for toppings. The pizzas are expected to go on sale this spring at major retailers across the country for $9.99.
