Bellevue-based Symetra Life Insurance Co. promoted Wes Severin, Harry Monti and Chantel Balkovetz to executive vice presidents. Severin now leads the Retirement Division. He was senior vice president of retirement product and distribution, and has been with Symetra since 2011. Monti now leads the Benefits Division. He was senior vice president of life and disability, and joined the company in 2014. Balkovetz now leads customer and service operations for all three Symetra divisions: Retirement, Benefits and Individual Life. She joined the company in 2008 as director of retirement service and operations, and was promoted in 2017 to senior vice president.

Menlo Park, California-based Bordeaux Wealth Advisors hired Jave Ragan in its new Bellevue office. Ragan has more than two decades of wealth management and business succession planning experience, and is a CPA. Most recently, he was senior wealth planning strategist at Wells Fargo Private Bank. About 30% of Bordeaux's clients are located in the Seattle area.
Colorado Springs, Colorado-based Amergint Technologies acquired Bothell-based Tethers Unlimited, which outfits small satellites with programmable radios, propulsion modules and systems for in-space manufacturing of spacecraft components. Amergint provides mission-critical communication and data paths for spacecraft. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Redmond-based Emerald Communities donated $120,000 to EvergreenHealth Foundation to buy four ventilators. The foundation is a nonprofit supporting EvergreenHealth Medical Center in Kirkland. The ventilators were installed in the medical center's intensive care unit. EvergreenHealth is one of the main hospitals used by residents of Emerald Heights, a senior housing development in Redmond run by Emerald Communities.
Bellevue-based T-Mobile is upping its support in the coronavirus fight by donating 500,000 medical face masks to the CDC Foundation and up to $100,000 for child care to frontline worker families through the Boys & Girls Clubs of America's COVID-19 Relief Fund.

Bellevue-based business intelligence platform developer Pyramid Analytics hired Harpreet Chahal and Jeff Van Earwage as sales directors and Angelie Janssen as solutions engineer. Chahal has over 25 years of experience in the software-as-a-service industry, most recently working for GoodData and Cognos. He is based in New York state. Van Earwage has worked with data and analytics companies for more than 12 years, with stints at Looker and Tibco Software. He is based in northern California. Janssen has over 13 years of experience in software sales, with a focus in the analytics space. She previously worked at ThoughtSpot, FinancialForce, Findly and IBM. She is based in southern California. Pyramid enables large companies to analyze data in a modular, easy and fast way.
Ann C. Nelson is the newest board member of Spokane-based Clearwater Paper. Nelson held various positions over 37 years at accounting and audit services company KPMG, including lead audit partner for publicly traded companies in a variety of industries. She joins Clearwater's board on May 13. Clearwater supplies private-label tissue to major retailers and wholesale distributors, and produces bleached paperboard.
Eugene, Oregon-based Summit Bank says its $5 million stock offering, debuting Monday, was oversubscribed and closed that day. The bank's board then approved a resolution to accept about 850,000 shares priced at $10 per share. The bank originally planned to raise the $5 million in 30 days. It says the new capital will strengthen its balance sheet in relation to significant growth in Paycheck Protection Program loans associated with the coronavirus pandemic, as well as projected growth in conventional loans. Summit specializes in loans to professionals and medium-sized businesses. It has offices in Eugene, Portland and central Oregon.
NASA selected the Blue Origin National Team to use existing and in-development spacecraft to carry humans to the moon. The team includes Kent-based Blue Origin, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Draper. Blue Origin, the project's prime contractor, is leading program management, systems engineering, safety and mission assurance, and mission engineering and operations. The company was founded in 2000 by Amazon's Jeff Bezos.

Effective June 29, Joseph Thompson will become president of Mercy Housing Northwest, the nonprofit announced. He makes the move from The Peoples' Self-Help Housing/The Duncan Group, in California. He'll succeed Bill Rumpf, who's retiring after a decade in that post. Thompson was previously at Mercy from 2004-2014. Mercy now has 54 communities with over 5,600 residents in Washington and Idaho.

Kidder Mathews announced the recent addition of Kevin Simpson-Verger, who will focus on retail investment sales. He makes the move from Keller Williams. He's been in the industry for a half-dozen years, and will join KM as a vice president.
