Seattle-based multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consulting firm Floyd|Snider promoted Brett Beaulieu and Lynn Grochala to associate principal. Beaulieu is a senior hydrogeologist with experience in site investigation and remedial strategies for upland and waterfront properties. He has focused on solving cleanups and regulatory challenges through technical expertise and management of interdisciplinary teams. His achievements include cleanup of the B&L Woodwaste Site in Milton, delisting of the waterfront Weyerhaeuser Everett West Site, and ongoing contributions to port, industrial, development and mining sites in the Northwest. Grochala is a senior environmental scientist and project manager who has managed environmental assessment and cleanup for upland and waterfront sites. She has managed projects from remedial investigation planning through final cleanup and provides regulatory compliance assistance for a range of projects and clients. She has worked on the Boeing Plant 2 early action area for the Lower Duwamish Waterway and is managing the former Time Oil Seattle Terminal on Salmon Bay.

Seatttle-based Olson Kundig promoted Christopher Butler, John Hallock, Lindsay Kunz, Gus Lynch and Erica Williams to associate for their contributions to the firm's diverse portfolio of work across market sectors and their impact on Olson Kundig's internal initiatives and workplace culture. Butler has managed large-scale, multi-use projects and worked with diverse stakeholders, community groups and local municipalities. He leads teams through design and delivery of projects that include retail and workplace, museums and cultural centers. Hallock leads integrated project teams, interfacing between client, stakeholders, consultants and government agencies. An architect, he has worked on a range of project types, from museums and offices to high-rise residential and mixed-use buildings, with an emphasis on large-scale projects. Kunz's experience has included a range of projects with an emphasis on residential and cultural sectors. She has worked with clients, project teams, contractors and consultants through design and construction of these projects. Lynch has experience in a range of project types, including large-scale residential, cultural and civic projects. Williams has worked as an architect and as a project engineer for a local general contractor. Redmond-based electrical contractor Sequoyah added Ron Cayton as vice president of electrical operations, Kristy Alley as director of business development and Shannon Willingham as senior estimator. Cayton has been in electrical contracting for over 35 years, specializing in operations management, multidisciplinary team management and strategic development. He holds several certifications. Alley brings over 20 years of AEC business development experience, using strategies, tools and tactics to expand business. Willingham has over a decade of estimating expertise, including analyzing higher education, health care, data center, lab and mixed-use projects up to $25 million in value.

MBA of King and Snohomish Counties

The Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties inducted Todd Levitt as 2021 board president. Levitt has worked for over 19 years across four western states on the land side of homebuilding — 13 years as vice president of land at Pulte Homes and six years as director of entitlements and government affairs at Murray Franklyn. Other board officers are: Cameron McKinnon of Gamut360 Holdings, first vice president; Traci Tenhulzen of Tenhulzen Residential, second vice president; Luellen Smith of Rhino Wine Cellars & Cooling Systems, secretary; and Brian Holtzclaw of Village Life, immediate past president.

EnCon United

Reno, Nevada-based Jensen Precast said it bought EnCon United's facilities in Camas and Puyallup. Both companies offer lines of precast concrete construction products. Gary Venn continues as general manager for the two facilities. Venn has 40 years of experience in the infrastructure industry.

The International Grooving & Grinding Association elected Kevin Schneider of Acme Concrete Paving in Spokane as president of its 2021 board of directors. Schneider is grinding division manager at Acme. West Coxsackie, New York-based IGGA promotes diamond grinding and grooving, as well as pavement preservation and restoration.

AAA Washington elected Greg Bever, lifelong Spokane resident and retired publisher of Spokane's Journal of Business, as chair of its board of trustees. Bever has served on the AAA Washington board since 2011. He previously chaired Greater Spokane Incorporated, Visit Spokane, Forward Fairchild, Washington State Parks Foundation, and the Community Colleges of Spokane. Also elected to the board was Ken Ryals, executive director of the King County Library System Foundation. Kirk Nelson was re-elected as president and CEO of AAA Washington until his retirement this summer.

Saykara

Seattle-based health tech startup Saykara received a 2021 BIG Innovation Award for its voice assistant that uses conversational artificial intelligence to automate clinical charting. Named Kara, the assistant is accessible via a mobile app that extracts meaning and intent from what it hears, then populates both structured and narrative data to the electronic health record. BIG Innovation Award nominations are judged by a panel of business executives across multiple domains. Saykara was honored in the health care category.

Auth0

Bellevue-based Auth0 added Sue Barsamian, Sameer Dholakia and Simon Parmett to its board. Barsamian has more than three decades of experience and was the former chief sales and marketing officer for Hewlett Packard Enterprise Software. Dholakia most recently was CEO of SendGrid. Parmett was CEO and general manager of MuleSoft. Jennifer Ceran, former CFO of Smartsheet, joined the board in May 2020. Auth0 provides a platform to authenticate, authorize and secure access for applications, devices and users.

Vacasa

Vacasa, a vacation rental management platform, appointed Jamie Cohen as the company's chief financial officer. Cohen is the former CFO of ANGI Homeservices, a digital home services marketplace, and will join Vacasa at the beginning of March. Vacasa is headquartered in Portland.
