Hayley Dallman has joined Allwest as a project assistant, based in the firm's Spokane Valley office. Dallman graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth and Environmental Science. She previously worked at Streamline Dental Solutions as a receptionist.



In Seattle, CollinsWoerman hired Callista Rillos as Architect and Rachell Pak as Administrative Assistant. In Spokane, CollinsWoerman hired Claire Kincaid-Slate as Architect and Interior Designer. Rillos brings over eight years of expertise in retail, civic, and corporate office new construction and TI's. She has permitted projects in over a hundred different jurisdictions in the US and Canada. Kincaid-Slate joins CollinsWoerman with over 15 years of expertise in the design field. Her past project experience ranges from medical and dental facilities, general office buildings, financial and banking facilities, multi-family residential, mixed-use buildings and hospitality. Pak brings a background in customer service and administration. She is a graduate of the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree in Communications and French.


After 15 years of leadership, MadArt Founder Alison Milliman is stepping away from her position at the institution's helm to focus on other endeavors. MadArt is a contemporary arts organization. In her departure, Emily Kelly, MadArt Director + Curator since 2017, will transition into having full strategic and creative oversight of the organization's operations and programming. Milliman's founding vision for MadArt was to support emerging artists in making new work that promotes the expansion of their professional practice. This provided a foundation for experimentation, innovation, and unlikely collaborations that have defined MadArt over the last decade. Throughout her tenure, Milliman has shepherded the organization into a nationally recognized contemporary art space that has directly supported over 75 artists through the commissioning of new and compelling works.
Emily Kelly and the MadArt team will continue to honor Milliman's intentions while broadening programming and cultural partnerships to reflect the ever-evolving pulse of the arts community. Working closely with artists, visitors, and staff, Kelly has curated nationally acclaimed exhibitions, grown the studio's audience, and expanded MadArt's educational outreach by inviting schools and students to use the studio as a learning tool and curricular resource.




Portland-based landscape architectural firm. Shapiro Didway, has promoted long time staff landscape architect Nate Otani to Principal, and added three new additional professionals. The new staff include: Matt Jackman, Shuang Sang and Jesse Conner. Otani, Principal, joined Shapiro Didway in 2014 and brings over a decade of landscape design and project management experience to the firm. He continues to build a deep portfolio focused on education campuses, mixed-use developments, recreation resources planning, and civic work. Otani earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon with additional studies in Design Visualization from the Art Institute of Portland. Career highlights to date include several recent projects for local K-12 school districts and the Willamette River Greenway Trail Segments in Portland.
Jackman, Landscape Designer, has over 17 years of experience leading award-winning projects along the East Coast in Florida, New York, and the Hamptons working in a wide range of climates and environments. His work is driven by client and community needs, creating spaces that fit the unique characteristics of each community with specialized materials, plantings, and attention to detail. Jackman earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Western Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia. He is currently working on multi-family apartment housing projects located within the Portland Metro area.
Sang, Landscape Designer, has experience working on projects ranging from campus design and recreation planning to new housing developments and public plazas. Sang's three plus years of experience includes projects for firms across the United States and China. As a result, she brings a great understanding of diverse cultures as well as the unique knowledge of plant species of varied climates. Sang earned her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Nanjing Forestry University in China, and her Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois. In 2016 she received The Yuanye Award, one of the largest student design competitions hosted annually by the Chinese societies of landscape architecture and considered to be the most influential events in landscape architecture societies in eastern Asia. Currently Sang is a team member on a variety of housing, recreation, and civic projects for Shapiro Didway.
Conner, Landscape Designer, brings to the firm previous experience working with a construction team to design and implement retaining walls, plantings, and irrigation systems. New to the profession, Conner has one year of experience and earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Washington State University, Pullman, WA. Conner has served as U.S. Air Force Veteran and Washington Air National Guard member and led trips across the Pacific Northwest as an Adventure Facilitator and Leave No Trace Instructor for the Washington State University Outdoors program. He joins the team on a variety of housing and community-based facility improvement projects.
As Gonzaga begins a yearlong centennial celebration of the School of Business Administration, a gift of $2 million has established the Jud Regis Chair of Accounting. Of that amount, $1.75 million endows the Jud Regis Chair while $200,000 is designated for the accounting program itself and $50,000 for the Fund for Gonzaga in support of student scholarships. Donors Dan and Cecelia Regis, of Bellevue, named the endowed position to honor Dan's father, Jud, whom they credit with instilling the values of faith, family and freedom in Dan and his siblings. Jud Regis grew up in Spokane where Dan was born. During his career, Dan Regis oversaw the Northwest offices of the accounting firm Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) as managing partner before leaving in 1996 for the venture capital arena. Accounting has long been a strength of Gonzaga's business school. The program's 82.4% CPA pass rate is 10th in the nation and first on the West Coast for schools with at least 60 candidates taking the exam. The undergraduate accounting program is ranked 31st in U.S. News & World Report's 2022 business school rankings. Gonzaga's School of Business Administration was founded in 1921.
Columbia Sportswear announced the promotion of Andrew Burns to vice president, strategic planning and investor relations. Burns has been at Columbia Sportswear for more than three years leading the investor relations program. In his new role, he will take on leading strategic planning and initiative management in addition to his responsibilities for investor relations. Columbia Sportswear was founded in 1938 in Portland, Oregon, and the company's brands are sold in approximately 90 countries. In addition to the Columbia brand, Columbia Sportswear also owns the Mountain Hard Wear, SOREL and prAna brands.

Ankrom Moisan, a firm specializing in integrated architectural, interior design, planning, and brand, has hired Hao Duong as a healthcare principal. Duong will be amplifying the business development strategy and overseeing project delivery for AM's healthcare sector in Washington and Oregon. Duong's recent projects included supporting the work of Odessa Brown Children's Clinic, Neighborcare, and Grady Health System in revealing how the built environment can support their efforts to eliminate health disparities through education and social justice. He has worked with clients of varying scales including New York University, Nationwide Children's, University of Washington, Virginia Mason, UCSF, and Seattle Children's. Duong received a B.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. Ankrom Moisan was founded in 1983, and today has offices in Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco.


Symetra celebrated the opening of Climate Pledge Arena at Seattle Center with the installation of a commissioned artwork. Symetra SVP Trinity Parker joined Seattle artist Aramis O. Hamer to debut the 6- by 9-foot acrylic on canvas painting in the arena's 11,000 square foot Symetra Club event space. Symetra is the first founding partner of the Climate Pledge Arena and the Seattle Kraken, the NHL's newest franchise. Home to the Kraken and the WNBA Seattle Storm, also a Symetra partner, the Climate Pledge Arena is the first net zero certified arena in the world. Hamer is a self-taught visual artist and muralist whose subject matter is inspired by the cosmos, music, nature, divine femininity, and the complexities throughout the Black culture. Those themes are reflected in the Symetra Club piece, with visual references to its Pacific Northwest setting, the Kraken's tentacles, and Symetra's vision. Symetra Life Insurance is a subsidiary of Symetra Financial Corporation, a diversified financial services company based in Bellevue.

Nautilus, a leader in personalized connected home fitness, announced that Kelley Hall, senior vice president and chief financial officer at Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI), and Shailesh Prakash, chief information officer and vice president of digital product development at The Washington Post have been appointed to its board of directors. Hall brings expertise leading financial strategy and managing omnichannel ecosystems at several leading companies, including REI, the nation's largest consumer co-operative. Prakash adds engineering and digital strategy experience and has led multiple digital growth transformations, including transitioning to and leveraging subscription business models. Prior to REI, Hall was senior vice president, chief accounting officer and treasurer for Nordstrom. Kelley also spent nine years at NIKE, and was with Starbucks Corporation from 1994 to 2008 in a variety of finance leadership roles. Prakash began his career as a software engineer with several technology companies, including Sun Microsystems and Netscape, and Microsoft where he was a key member of the Bing search engine. Nautilus is headquartered in Vancouver, Washington.
The Master Builders Association of Pierce County rebranded with a redesigned logo, website and creation of badges to certify projects that meet the standards of a Master Builder. Also, the association no longer uses the acronym MBA — it now goes with Master Builders instead. The trade association represents over 800 builders, remodelers and industry professionals whose businesses employ more than 10,000 people in Pierce County.
Last week, Turner Construction Co. helped kick off the inaugural Construction Inclusion Week. The program consisted of five days of engagement to promote inclusion and enable conversations regarding diversity within the construction industry. Over 1,100 firms signed up for this year's event, which was organized by Time for Change, a consortium of six general contractors that includes Turner, Gilbane Building Co., DPR Construction, Mortenson, McCarthy and Clark Construction Group. Affiliated partners are Associated Builders and Contractors, Associated General Contractors and Culture of Care.
Vancouver, B.C.-based equipment auctioneer Ritchie Bros. launched a self-serve equipment listing service called RitchieList.com. Ritchie says the program includes secure transaction management and additional services designed to make selling easy for private parties and equipment dealers. Some of those services include access to an inventory management system, data analytics and pricing valuation tools.
Washington, D.C.-based MGAC, an owner's representative and project and cost management consultant, acquired U.K. property and construction consultant RLF. The deal was an all-cash purchase. Other financial details were not disclosed. RLF has 100 employees across four U.K. offices in London, Brighton, Birmingham and Glasgow. Its core services include cost management, project management, construction management, health and safety, and building surveying. In North America, MGAC has 170 employees and additional offices in New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. A recent project locally was the T-Mobile headquarters in Bellevue.
