Seattle-based Imperative, an enterprise peer coaching platform, announced that Steve O'Brian has joined the company as chief executive officer. Previously, the company announced the addition of J.R. Jesson as its chief technology officer. O'Brian is a B2B SaaS startup veteran with multiple successful exits and over 20 years of executive experience. Most recently he served as the chief operations officer at Shiftboard. Prior to that, O'Brian served as the vice president of marketing and customer success at Chronus, a leader in mentoring and talent development. Imperative, powered by AI technology, was founded in 2020 by Aaron Hurst.
DreamBox Learning announced that Jennifer Mullin is joining the DreamBox executive team as chief marketing officer to lead marketing strategy, including brand management, corporate communications, marketing operations, and demand creation. Mullin brings more than two decades of marketing leadership from across a broad array of market segments including e-commerce, entertainment, cybersecurity, and education technology for brands such as Leapfrog Enterprises, Visa, Evite, and Gap. Most recently Mullin served as the vice president of marketing for Malwarebytes, a SaaS cybersecurity firm. As DreamBox's chief marketing officer, Mullin will work in close partnership with the company's executive leadership and its sales, product, and customer success teams to connect more school districts with DreamBox's mathematics and reading solutions. DreamBox Learning is a leading K-12 education technology provider, and is headquartered in Bellevue.
Premera named Amy Humphreys chair of its board of directors. Humphreys replaces Jack Heath, president and chief operating officer of Washington Trust Bank, whose term as the chair expired. Heath remains on the board. Humphreys has 25 years of experience in manufacturing, commodities, global marketing, and distribution, including holding executive leadership positions with large privately held companies across several industries, such as seafood, dairy, and petroleum. Humphreys also has strong roots in the Alaska business community through her past leadership roles with American Seafoods, one of Alaska's largest whitefish suppliers, Alaska seafood processor Icicle Seafoods, Bristol Bay Seafood Investments and Delta Western, a leading petroleum distribution company operating throughout Alaska. Humphreys earned an MBA from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and finance from the University of Puget Sound. Heath, who joined the Premera board in 2011, began his tenure as the chair in 2018. Heath has held his position at Washington Trust Bank since March 2000. Heath received a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance from the University of Idaho and an MBA in finance from Gonzaga University. While chair, Premera worked to address the primary care crisis and made significant investments in the community through the Premera Social Impact program. Premera Blue Cross, a not-for-profit, independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association based in Mountlake Terrace, is a leading health plan in the Pacific Northwest, providing comprehensive health benefits and tailored services to more than 2.75 million people.
Vancouver-based Digistor, a provider of secure storage solutions, announced it tapped cybersecurity technology expert Ben Warner as director of applications engineering. Warner will work closely with customers to identify and prioritize requirements to develop solutions for securely storing Data at Rest. Throughout his career, Warner honed his expertise working with the United States military. He worked on projects involving security and protection of networks holding some of the nation's most sensitive and classified information with Applied Research Solutions at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Warner has also worked with Booz Allen, a leading cyber defense contractor, GE Aviation, and is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

The MolinaCares Accord, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Washington, recently committed $400,000 to the University of Washington School of Nursing to help expand the behavioral health workforce in the state through the development and implementation of a blended family and psychiatric primary care curriculum for nurse practitioners. “MolinaCares is dedicated to facilitating access to behavioral health resources in Washington communities as we deal with an ongoing shortage of providers in the state,” said Dr. Jay Fathi, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Washington. “By expanding the number of nurse practitioners specializing in behavioral health care, who will also be trained in primary care, we can make great strides in improving outcomes for individuals struggling with mental health issues and substance use disorder.” Established by Molina Healthcare, The MolinaCares Accord oversees a community investment platform created to improve the health and well-being of disadvantaged populations by funding meaningful, measurable, and innovative programs and solutions that improve health, life, and living in local communities. Molina Healthcare of Washington has been providing government-funded health care for over 20 years. The company serves members through Medicaid, Medicare and the Health Benefit Exchange programs throughout Washington.

ZoomInfo, a software, data, and intelligence firm, announced the appointment of Alison Gleeson to its board of directors. She was previously the SVP of Americas at Cisco, where she led nearly 9,000 employees and was responsible for more than $25 billion in annual sales. Gleeson currently serves as a board member of publicly traded SaaS companies Elastic and 8x8 Inc. She has received the Connected World's Woman of IoT Award, Diversity Best Practices' Above and Beyond Legacy Award, and the Michigan Council for Women in Technology's Woman of the Year Award. Gleeson received a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Michigan State University, where she currently serves on the advisory board of Eli Broad College of Business. ZoomInfo is headquartered in Vancouver.
Justin Widlund has joined digital health startup Well Health as general counsel. Widlund brings nearly 17 years of legal experience and has experience working at start-ups and enterprise-level companies in the Silicon Valley and Pacific Northwest. Widlund joins WELL from Freshworks. Prior to his role at Freshworks, he held legal roles at Microsoft, Apigee and NetSuite, among others. As general counsel at WELL Health, Widlund will lead the legal function, and leverage his expertise to guide WELL Health's growth as a late-stage startup in the digital health marketplace. Widlund is based in Seattle, and will report to Well Health's chief financial officer, Tom McIntyre. Founded in 2015, WELL Health is based in Santa Barbara, California. Well Health has been named No. 10 on the 2021 Forbes America's Best Startup Employers list, No.133 fastest-growing company in North America on the 2021 Deloitte Technology Fast 500, and ranked on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies for two consecutive years.
Itron signed a contract with Energy Queensland to deploy Temetra, Itron's cloud-based mobile meter data collection and management solution. Energy Queensland is a government owned corporation consisting of two electric utilities serving 2.3 million electricity customers, covering both urban and rural remote locations. The cloud-based solution provides new ways for utilities to optimize operations, enhance route optimization, and improve customer engagement and meter reading efficiencies. Temetra allows the utilities to collect, upload and store the meter data in real time. The included GPS support allows utilities to create and assign routes based on up-to-date meter location information and workload. Itron is headquartered in Liberty Lake.
