Summit Bank

Brian Thomas, commercial banking team leader for Summit Bank, announced that Joshua Adams has been hired as senior vice president, commercial banking officer and Zach Weber has been hired as assistant vice president, senior associate business client advisor. Adams was most recently the senior vice president and commercial loan officer at Premier Community Bank and served in the same role at Heritage Bank since 2008. Weber was most recently the senior credit analyst at Heritage Bank and prior to that he was a commercial credit analyst at CU Business Group in Portland. Summit Bank has offices in Eugene, Central Oregon, and Portland.

Camping World

Camping World Holdings expanded its footprint in Western Washington by signing an agreement to acquire the Clear Creek RV Center dealerships located in Silverdale and Puyallup. The acquisition is anticipated to close in September 2022. The Silverdale facility is located at 11572 Clear Creek Road NW, Silverdale and the Puyallup facility is located at 16625 Meridian E., Puyallup. Both locations will transition to the Camping World brand, increasing the total number of Camping World locations in the State of Washington to six. The SuperCenters will include a wide range of new and used RVs for sale, in addition to a full assortment of RV and outdoor products and accessories and RV service, maintenance, and repair. Camping World Holdings is headquartered in Lincolnshire, IL.

Scotsman Guide Board

Bothell-based Scotsman Guide appointed Ski Swiatkowski to the company's board of directors for a one-year term, which began on August 23, 2022. Swiatkowski is an experienced mortgage industry veteran, public speaker, performance improvement and leadership specialist, and author of the book “Create The Change You Want To See.” Swiatkowski started as a loan originator in 1984, and has previously held executive positions as the vice president of business development for Silver Hill Funding, vice president of originations portfolio marketing for Bayview Loan Servicing, and CEO of his own mortgage brokerage firm. Scotsman Guides is a provider of financial technology tools and industry news for mortgage originators.

ABC of Western Washington

Two firms have joined the Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington: Zamalloa Industries of Seattle; and Kerriston Enterprises of Hobart. Zamalloa provides various metal fabrication services, including welding, waterjet cutting and deck plating. It also offers marine painting and sandblasting. Kerriston is a veteran-owned small business that self-performs earthwork jobs such as excavation, grading, demolition, retaining walls and land clearing.

Inland Northwest AGC

The Inland Northwest Associated General Contractors' construction leadership council donated $8,500 to Matt's Place Foundation, a charitable group serving those with ALS. Matt's Place Foundation is behind Coeur d'Alene House, a smart home designed and built to serve the unique needs of those living with ALS and their families. Matt's Place is inspired by local construction industry member and former marine Matthew Wild, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2015.

Rebuilding Together South Sound

Rebuilding Together South Sound recently marked its 1,200th repair project on homes and community centers in the South Sound since 2001. The program serves low-income older adults, people with disabilities, veterans, and families with children under the age of 18. Essential repairs help neighbors stay in their homes at no cost to them. Over the years, more than 10,840 volunteers have given more than 110,000 hours of time to the program.

Yesler

Yesler announced it recently closed on $5m in new investment led by San Francisco Bay Area-based Crosslink Capital. The round also includes current investors PSL Ventures (Seattle), Tech Square Ventures (Atlanta), and Ascend (Seattle). As part of its investment, Phil Boyer, partner at Crosslink Capital, will join the Yesler Board of Directors. Yesler is a single platform of software tools built specifically for managing and optimizing buying and selling of lumber and building materials. Using the Yesler platform, buyers and sellers initiate, negotiate and execute transactions with existing and new trading partners they discover on Yesler. Yesler is headquartered in Seattle.

Port Angeles Waterfront Center

The Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration (EDA) awarded a $1 million grant to the Port Angeles Waterfront Center to support the Field Hall Media Lab, a planned facility that will train media technicians and stagehands. This EDA grant will be matched with $698,037 in local funds and is expected to create 175 jobs, retain 22 jobs, and generate $7.7 million in private investment, according to estimates from the Port Angeles Waterfront Center. Field Hall is expected to open in March 2023. In December, Sen. Maria Cantwell, Sen. Patty Murray and Rep. Derek Kilmer submitted a joint letter to U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo in support of Field Hall's grant application. This project is funded under the EDA's $240 million competitive American Rescue Plan Travel, Tourism, and Outdoor Recreation program. The funds are designed to accelerate the recovery of communities that rely on the travel, tourism and outdoor recreation sectors.

Port of Bremerton

The Port of Bremerton has introduced a new recycling program at the Bremerton Marina. New recycling bins have been dispersed throughout the marina, with the option to expand the program if initial demand is strong. With this addition, tenants and marina users alike will have the opportunity to reduce their footprint by utilizing the multiple vessels now available. The Port Orchard Marina has had a recycling program in place for some time.

Symetra

Symetra has once again been recognized by Forbes as a top employer. The Bellevue-based life insurer was named to Forbes' 2022 America's Best-in-State Employers list as one of the top 60 employers in Washington state. The designation is Symetra's second workplace award for 2022 following its Great Place to Work Certification earlier this month. Presented by Forbes and market research company Statista, America's Best-in-State Employers 2022 were identified in an independent survey based on a sample of approximately 70,000 Americans working for companies with more than 500 employees in the United States. Across 25 industry sectors, 1,382 employer brands were ranked among the top employers.
