Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, the largest winery in the Pacific Northwest and among the largest premium wineries in the U.S., announced the appointment of Ashleigh Sabold Lettiere as the new vice president, Independent Region. In this role, Sabold Lettiere will lead the Ste. Michelle sales team across 13 states that make up the Independent Region including: New Jersey, North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. These states account for almost a quarter of Ste. Michelle's national volume. Sabold Lettiere joins Ste. Michelle after a decade-long career with Treasury Wine Estates, most recently as division vice president for the Northeast. Prior to that she served in a leadership role for J. Lohr Vineyards and Wines, as well as in sales at the Breakthru Beverage Group (formerly Reliable Churchill). Sabold Lettiere graduated from Radford University in Virginia and holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
Lattice Semiconductor won two Artificial Intelligence Excellence Awards from The Business Intelligence Group. The Lattice Avant FPGA platform and Lattice sensAI solution stack were recognized in the Vehicle Infrastructure Integration and Computer Vision categories, respectively, for solving key customer challenges around adding intelligence to Edge systems and applications. The Artificial Intelligence Excellence Awards recognize organizations, products and people who bring AI to life and apply it to solve real problems. Winners are chosen by a group of business leaders and executives. The Business Intelligence Group was founded with the mission of recognizing talent and superior performance in the business world. Propeller, a management consultancy for organizations in technology, retail, energy and utilities, healthcare, and the public sector, announced it achieved national certification as a Women's Business Enterprise by the Women's Business Enterprise Council – Pacific, a regional certifying partner of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council. Design-build mechanical and energy contractor UMC named Chris Olmsted as life sciences market lead. Olmsted has spent his career in various roles that have spanned many aspects of a facility's lifecycle, including building automation and controls, building optimization, critical environments, major construction support, tenant improvements, small repairs and facilitating emergency maintenance. He previously was sales manager for UMC's facility services sales team, and has been at the firm since 2019. He holds a degree in electrical engineering, and has training in whole-building optimization. Recently, he completed a professional certificate from MIT in biotechnology and life science.


Two industry veterans have joined the Seattle office of Deacon Construction: Alan Fish as senior estimator and Bill Foster as senior project manager. Fish comes from Venture General Contracting but prior to that worked at Deacon. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the AEC industry, and Deacon says he is well-versed in preparing estimates during all phases of design on a variety of project types ranging from below $1 million to over $100 million. Foster comes from Schuchart with nearly 35 years of construction industry experience in the Seattle area. He has extensive experience in tilt-up construction, large site development and stand-alone retail buildings, according to the company. Over the last decade, he was heavily involved in commercial tenant improvements and Boeing projects.
Bellevue-based EagleView Technologies is collaborating with Mike Holmes Inspections to provide its aerial imagery services to a network of roof inspectors across Canada. The inspectors, trained and equipped with EagleView Assess drone technology, are using the technology to inspect properties for insurance claims without having to spend time on a roof. EagleView Assess has been in the U.S. market for the past year and has seen growing adoption among roof inspectors, independent adjusters, roofing contractors and insurance companies. Mike Holmes Inspections was founded by Mike Holmes, host and creator of a popular home improvement show. The company provides certified and trained professionals to conduct thorough home inspections.
California-based Harbor Freight Tools is offering $1.5 million this year in its Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence contest. Harbor Freight plans to honor 25 outstanding public high school skilled trades teachers and their programs. Five grand prize winners will each get $100,000 and 20 others will get $50,000 each. Teachers can submit applications until May 5 to hftforschoolsprize.org. Finalists will be announced on June 13 and winners in October.

Portland-based Orca Security announced the appointment of co-founder Gil Geron as CEO. With this move, Orca co-founder Avi Shua will transition to the newly-created position of chief innovation officer and will remain on the board of directors. Recently, Orca secured a patent for its agentless SideScanning technology, was recognized as a top startup employer by Forbes, and was named the AWS Global Security Partner of the Year. Gartner recognized Orca Security as a representative vendor for CNAPP in its 2023 Gartner Market Guide for Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms, and Frost & Sullivan honored Orca with the 2023 Customer Value Leadership Award. The Orca Cloud Security Platform delivers comprehensive coverage and visibility of risks across the cloud.
Steller announced it has acquired Travel Mindset, a travel-focused influencer marketing company. This addition will allow Steller to expand its offerings in the influencer marketing field. Travel Mindset has been connecting influencers and brands in the travel space since 2012. The agency offers a full suite of services ranging from editorial, video and social media to event and campaign management. Its client base includes Fairmont Hotels, Celebrity Cruises, Under Armour and several state and national tourism boards. As part of the acquisition, Harley Schachter, founder and CEO of Travel Mindset will join Steller as the company's first chief revenue officer. Steller also added Rik van der Kooi to the company's board of directors. van der Kooi recently spent 11 years as the corporate vice president of Microsoft advertising, where he led the company's global advertising business. Steller, founded in 2014 and headquartered in Kirkland, is a travel discovery platform that guides travelers from inspiration to planning and booking. Pete Bryant, is Steller's CEO. Travel Mindset was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Chicago.
