International Community Health Services has opened the Shoreline Medical and Dental Clinic at 16549 Aurora Ave. N.
The 45,000-square-foot, three-story clinic has 20 exam rooms, 10 dental chairs and 80 parking spaces for patients. There are three community meeting rooms, a laboratory, two exhibit galleries and an outdoor garden. A pharmacy will be added later.
The design uses cross-laminated timber, which makes up both the roof structure and architectural ceiling.
It was designed to meet LEED gold standards.
ICHS is a nonprofit that provides health services to Asian Pacific Islanders as well as the broader community. This is ICHS' fourth full-service clinic and its seventh service site. The clinic is expected to serve nearly 12,000 patients a year.
