Opus Northwest landed
Richard Wieneke from Kennedy and Associates Real Estate Council. Wieneke was a Kennedy partner. He worked there from 1981 until this year, leaving as senior vice president responsible for acquisition and development of large office, residential and mixed-use projects in metropolitan areas across the country. Kennedy is a Seattle-based pension and investment advisor. Bellevue-based Opus, one of the area's most active office and industrial developers, hired Wieneke as a senior real estate director in its Seattle office. Wieneke will focus on urban development opportunities in both Seattle and Bellevue that include office, residential, mixed-use and private-public projects, Opus said. Wieneke is a Washington State University economics graduate and he holds an MBA from the University of Oregon.

PJ Santos was promoted to a real estate manager post. Opus said Santos worked on Sammamish Parkplace and Opus Eastpointe, both in Issaquah, as a real estate representative, and he now manages Opus Crossing in Federal Way and is working on other projects.
In addition, Opus hired Tom Cody as real estate director in the firm's Portland office. Cody most recently worked as vice president for D.W. Sivers, a Portland development company. Cody will work on Opus projects in the Portland area called Southwest Center, Cornell West, Opus/205 Distribution Center, Bridgeport Village (aka the Durham Quarry site) and Columbia Gorge Corporate Center.
