John L. Scott promoted Jerry Moon from executive vice president to president. Company head J. Lennox Scott, whose list of titles included president, trimmed to chairman and CEO. Moon joined John L. Scott as vice president of sales and marketing in 1990 and became executive vice president in 1991.
John L. Scott added a new office, called North Bellevue, in the headquarters of John F. Buchan Homes at 2821 Northup Way. John L. Scott was Buchan's broker for 25 years -- until 1994, when Buchan decided to manage its own sales, according to John L. Scott. Competitor Windermere Real Estate then became Buchan's "in-house broker." But as of March 1 the job has gone back to John L. Scott. The deal makes John L. Scott the broker for Buchan Homes and Buchan Properties.
Doug Eide is manager of John L. Scott's Kingston office, replacing Gayle Vanhulle, who retired. Eide started in real estate in 1979 with Spot Realty in Port Orchard. He bought Spot in 1983 and sold it in 1995. He taught continuing education for the Olympia, Clallam and Kitsap Realtor boards, was an instructor evaluator for the Washington Association of Realtors and became one of three national speaker-trainers for Realtor.com. Since 1999 he was vice president and national sales manager for HomeSeekers.com.
Dawn Bickford became a sales associate in John L. Scott's Federal Way office. Bickford, a long-time Federal Way resident, is new to real estate after working 15 years in corporate sales and marketing. Michael Smith also joined the Federal Way office.
Nancy Hughes, Karen Pfleger, Candace Sherrill and Debbie Allison joined the Lynnwood office. Adrienne Wilson and Joseph Tolbert became sales agents in the Highlands office in North Seattle. Wendi Ruth Martin now sells in the Redmond office.
Bob Garrison and Patti Murphy are new at the North Bend office. Randy Stender started in Silverdale. Ike Onuegbu joined the Kent office, where sales are running high enough that managing broker Michael Morelli said he plans to increase from 40 agents now to 55 by the end of the year, a 40 percent increase. To handle the growth, the office will soon move to 13026 Kent-Kangley Rd.
