The developer Hines topped out construction of the 40-story IDX Tower at Fourth and Madison in the downtown Seattle financial district. Hines said work should finish in October. So far, the 820,000-square-foot skyscraper is 81 percent leased. Tenants include IDX Systems Corp., Preston Gates & Ellis, Deloitte & Touche, UBS Paine Webber and Regal Financial Bank. Hines' financial partner in the building is the California Public Employees Retirement System through National Office Partners Ltd. Hines executive Rob Hollister said prospective tenants can now ride the elevators. The views make it easier to generate interest in the remaining space, he said.
