Seattle Mortgage

Seattle Mortgage Co. promoted Sarah Hulbert to vice president. Hulbert is the firm's national director in charge of its reverse mortgage division. The company also hired Susan D’Angelo, who has nine years of reverse mortgage experience, as operations manager to handle day-to-day demands of the division. The reverse mortgage department has grown by more than 300 percent under Hulbert's direction and continues expanding, said senior vice president John Nixon. Reverse mortgages allow homeowners of at least 62 years old to take equity out of their homes as tax-free income. Hulbert recently became chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America's Reverse Mortgage Lenders Advisory Group for 2003. She's also co-chair for National Reverse Mortgage Lenders of America.
