Richard Stevenson was promoted to president and chief operating officer at Clise Properties, one of downtown Seattle's largest property owners. Al Clise, whose family has run the company since his great grandfather started it in 1889, is chairman and CEO. Stevenson joined Clise in 1995 from Harbor Properties and played a leading role in Clise's late 1990s development of a 535,000-square-foot downtown office tower for Nordstrom called 1700 Seventh. Stevenson's 20 years in commercial real estate also include working for Wright Runstad & Co. and United Technologies' Otis Elevators. He attended Gonzaga University in Spokane and is a graduate of Evergreen State College in Olympia. Stevenson is on the boards of the Seattle Monorail Project and the Downtown Seattle Association.
