Geoff Wood was promoted from president to chief executive officer of Windermere Real Estate. Matt Carroll moved up to become executive vice president and a member of the senior executive committee, while Jim Shapiro went from CEO to the semi-retired role of vice chairman. Shapiro will work with founder and Chairman John Jacobi on shaping the company's vision. Wood, who is Jacobi's son-in-law, has been president for the past four years. Carroll is a 25-year veteran of the business who has been working as general manager of the five Windermere offices in Seattle that are owned by the Jacobi family. Wood's wife, Jill Jacobi-Wood, oversees the five family-owned Seattle offices. O.B. Jacobi, Jill Jacobi-Wood's brother, takes over management of one of those offices, in Wedgwood. As executive vice president, Carroll is responsible for real estate services, owner relations and business planning for Windermere’s 220 offices across seven western states and British Columbia, reporting to Wood.
