Leland Consulting Group

Chris Zahas was promoted to senior associate at Leland Consulting Group, a Portland, Ore.-based real estate strategies provider. Zahas is Leland's lead project manager. He's currently working on transit-oriented development near light rail stations for the Sacramento Regional Transit District and on creating incentives for urban housing development in Boise for Boise's urban renewal agency. He recently worked with Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in writing a downtown development strategy and helped structure public-private partnerships in Bellingham and Spokane.

Leland also promoted Melinda Plummer to associate in its Portland office. Plummer is an architect who serves as the firm's liaison with architectural firms. She's working on phase two of Moses Lake's downtown revitalization and on the Boise housing incentives. Liland hired Jonathan Williams as senior analyst in Portland. Williams came from Sam Schwartz Co. of New York City, where he prepared environmental assessment documents for the reconstruction of East River Pier 15 and public outreach material for construction of the AirTrain to John F. Kennedy Airport. Williams recently received his master's degree in city and regional planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
