Lion Inc., which provides online services that connect mortgage brokers with consumers and lenders, has purchased certain assets of Ignition Mortgage Technology Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Freddie Mac. Lion, which has offices is Seattle and Denver, is a public company not affiliated with Freddie Mac. Lion acquired Loan Finder, Lock Point Xtra(R), Loan Officer Plus(R) and Pipeline Tools software products as well as Ignition's rights under certain contracts and accounts receivable. Lion President David Stedman says the acquisition will enable Lion to target small and large mortgage originators.
