Wolfgang Rood Hospitality

Bellevue-based Wolfgang Rood Hospitality Consulting reports January hotel occupancy rates decreased by 7 percent in downtown Seattle and nearly 12 percent on the Eastside compared to the same month in 2003. But they were up almost 11 percent in the Southend, 8 percent in Snohomish County and 9 percent in Pierce County. Statewide, average daily room rates declined just over 1 percent to $91.06. In Seattle and the Southend, the average rate increased marginally, and decreased just over 2 percent on the Eastside.
