SIOR

The Washington chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors named Jane Blair of CB Richard Ellis and Risk Osterhout of GVA Kidder Mathews office and industrial brokers of the year, respectively.

Touchstone Corp.'s 9th & Stewart Life Sciences Building was selected Office Development of the Year and Summit @ Sumner Corporate Park is SIOR's Industrial Development of the Year. That project was developed by Knapp Development, Washington Capital and Michelson Development.

Blair was CB Richard Ellis' top office broker in the Puget Sound area last year, when she worked on nearly $38.2 million worth of transactions. Osterhout's transaction dollar volume was $40.5 million last year.

Touchstone said its 9th & Stewart Life Sciences Building was the first speculative high-rise for life sciences in a West Coast central business district. MBT Architecture designed the 11-story Seattle building, and Lease Crutcher Lewis built it. Bill Neil and John Cox of GVA Kidder Mathews are the listing brokers, and Bob Mooney of Staubach Co., was the broker for Corixa, the lead tenant.

The 492,000-square-foot Summit @ Sumner Corporate Park is reportedly the largest speculative building developed in the Southend. Lance Mueller & Associates designed it, and Foushee & Associates built it. Norvanco International leased the space. Scott Carter and Leslie Boudwin of Pacific Real Estate Partners brokered the deal for the developers, and John Sullivan of CB Richard Ellis represented Norvanco.
