BetterBricks is bringing its sustainability competition to Seattle for the first time. BetterBricks is an initiative of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, a non-profit supported by electric utilities. The awards, which have been presented in Portland for two years, recognize developers and others for their design of commercial buildings. Awards will be given in different categories and Seattle winners will be honored Oct. 28. To make nominations, see the Web site at http://www.betterbricksawards.com.
