Layne Sapp, founder and CEO of Mountlake Terrace-based MILA, an e-commerce mortgage provider, was one of 35 finalists in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the only finalist from the Northwest. Since the 2002 launch of AccessPoint, MILA's proprietary loan management system, the company says its revenue has grown 803 percent. The 21-year-old MILA operates in 26 states and plans to expand to another 22 by the end of 2006.
