Security buys California apartments

Seattle-based Security Properties, in partnership with Capmark Finance, purchased the 188-unit La Serena Apartments in Santa Ana, Calif., for $30 million. The 188-unit, 7.2-acre community is Orange County. Security plans a renovation. The company has acquired more than 800 apartments in Orange County in the past 90 days.
