Touchstone

Touchstone says its West 8th is the first office tower in Seattle to earn the U.S. Green Building Council LEED-CS gold pre-certification. The 28-floor high-rise is expected to open early in 2009. LEED-CS (core and shell) covers base building elements, such as structure, envelope and building-level systems. West 8th will have higher levels of natural day lighting by using Solarban low-e glass, outdoor air delivery monitoring and construction waste management. Callison is the architect and the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis.
