Two Opus companies file for bankruptcy

Opus East LLC and Opus West Corp., two of the five independent operating companies of the Opus Group, have filed for bankruptcy protection to help liquidate their portfolios, according to parent company Opus Corp.

The Opus West petition for Chapter 11 was filed Monday and the Opus East petition for Chapter 7 was filed last week. The petitions include Opus West and Opus East and some of their subsidiaries.
