Mattson

NAI Puget Sound Properties promoted Christian Mattson to vice president. Mattson specializes in industrial sales, leasing and tenant representation in Pierce County, with an emphasis on land near the Port of Tacoma. Mattson has been with NAI Puget Sound Properties since 2007. The locally owned affiliate of NAI Global has offices in Seattle, Bellevue and Tacoma.

Fidelity National Title

Reyes

Fidelity National Title hired Jen Reyes as vice president of national business development for the Major Accounts Division in Seattle. Reyes will be responsible for sales and marketing plans for title and escrow services. Reyes has been involved in real estate for more than 15 years, and is president of the Seattle and Sound chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women. Fidelity National Title is an affiliate of Fidelity National Financial, a provider of insurance and real estate services.

Fannie Mae economist speaks here

Duncan

Douglas G. Duncan, senior vice president and chief economist at Fannie Mae, is the keynote speaker at Seattle Mortgage Bankers Association's September dinner meeting, starting at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at Broadmoor Golf Club. ULI tour: Pioneer Square

Urban Land Institute Northwest's Thriving Community Task Force will give a walking tour of Pioneer Square starting at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 5. The tour will highlight the neighborhood's history as well as its new housing and office space. The tour begins at 100 King St., the office of Daniels Real Estate and R.D. Merrill Co.'s Stadium Place project. After the tour is a reception at Olson Kundig Architects' office at 159 S. Jackson St. Registration ends Sept. 4. Channing has been with NAI for 14 years, and he specializes in sales and leasing of office and industrial property in the Kent Valley. Waggoner

Colliers International hired Heidi Waggoner as senior manager of marketing and business development in the Seattle, Eastside and Portland markets. Waggoner was with Jones Lang LaSalle and Pacific Real Estate Partners. Colliers has more than 13,500 employees in 482 offices in 62 countries.

Guardian adds Portland apartments

Guardian Management LLC will manage two new Portland apartment buildings: Linden, at 1250 E. Burnside, a 135-unit mixed-use building that will open in September, and Milano, a 60-unit building at 105 N.E. Multnomah St. near the Rose Quarter. Both are designed to be bike-friendly, with bike storage and repair stations. Guardian Management has a portfolio of more than 16,500 units, and headquarters in Seattle and Portland. It is the property management arm of Guardian Real Estate Services, which has more than 900 employees in eight states.

FEMA floodplain seminar Sept. 20

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is changing the regulations about developing land in floodplains. Molly Lawrence of the law firm VanNess Feldman GordonDerr will chair a seminar at 9 a.m. Sept. 20 at City University's Belltown campus at 521 Wall St. The day-long event is put on by the Seminar Group, with speakers from the public and private sectors talking about what the changes mean for developers and land use.
