When it comes to the Federal Aviation Administration's big new development project in South King County, the question isn't who's pursuing the assignment but who's not.
More than a dozen national and local companies have expressed interest in building on two Port of Seattle sites near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Port officials say both parcels could meet the FAA's advertised need for a 519,000-square-foot office and warehouse facility. Two other developers — ScanlonKemperBard Cos., Metzler North America — and a limited liability company headed by local landowner Tom Danzler are offering sites in the city of SeaTac, municipal officials say.
