Seattle Union Station

Seattle Union Station, the 606,000-square-foot three-building campus next to Qwest Field in Seattle, has been certified LEED silver in the category of operations and maintenance of existing buildings. CB Richard Ellis provided sustainability services. CBRE said a clean water treatment system eliminates the need for hazardous chemicals and reduces annual water consumption by more than 500,000 gallons. Tenants are composting food waste and recycling more than 271 pounds of paper each day. Certification required no major capital upgrades.
