Big developer to open Seattle office

SEATTLE — Wood Partners, a large multifamily developer with 16 U.S. offices, is opening an office in Seattle and hired Steve Orser of Harbor Properties to lead acquisitions and development here.

Atlanta-based Wood said in a press release it is seeking urban in-fill sites in Seattle and Portland to build Class A market-rate and workforce housing. Wood specializes in acquisition, development and construction of high-density, transit-oriented projects, and officials say they are committed to environmentally sustainable development.
