NAIOP Real Estate Challenge

Commercial real estate group NAIOP's annual Real Estate Challenge is at 7 a.m., Wednesday at the Westin Seattle, 1900 Fifth Ave. Teams from area universities have studied the site at Second Avenue and Pine Street and will recommend what they think owner Starwood Capital Group should do with it. Starwood started excavating the site for a $250 million luxury hotel-condo tower on the site but halted construction in 2008 when the economy faltered. Starwood later filled in the site that is now a parking lot. Register at naiopwa.org.
